I can't claim to be a huge rap fanatic but every now and then someone drops a few verses that I enjoy. Outside of sheer enjoyment I never though of rapping as an intellectual/technical pursuit. For me it was about a good beat or a good message. I'd hear rappers use terms like 'bars' but never took it upon myself to delve deeper. But the video below was a real eye-opener...I need to watch it a few more times for this stuff to sink in but I have a new-found respect for the art of rapping...maybe y'all will too (assuming you don't already).
