Am I the only person who prefers treble to bass? When I was a kid and tone controls were common on record-players and stereos I always used to turn the bass right down and the treble right up and I still prefer this kind of sound. Perhaps it helped that when I was growing up I used to be into a lot of Motown stuff which was deliberately intended to sound good coming out of tinny transistor radio speakers - therefore a lot of tambourine, cymbals, snare drum, etc. Even though these days I like a lot of metal which tends to have a lot of bass I like to listen to it through the tiny speaker of the mp3 player on my cell phone. I also like Oriental music as it tends to be high-pitched and even shrill which I like.
