I think Ceremony by New Order was 80s. Great song.
(I am still a huge New Order fan.)
While there are so many to choose from, I have to say that the one that always puts me in a good mood when I hear it is Aha's Take on me- I know it's super corny, but I can't help it smile Aren't most 80's songs that you love kind of a guilty pleasure? smile
New Order and Joy Division! good taste.
Anything New Wave or Electronic Does it for me:
Depeche Mode: Black Celebration, Strangelove, Just Cant Get Enough
Cabaret Voltiare: Sensoria, I Want You
The style Council: My Ever Changing Moods, Long Hot Summer
Erasure: Sometimes, Chains Of Love
Heaven 17: Let Me Go, Temptation
Nitzer Ebb: Murderous, Joint In The Chant
New Order: Bizzare Love Triangle, Kiss Of Death, True Faith
Shout, SHout
Let it all out
These are the things I can do without
COME ON!

Bob Seger's Main Street. I think that song is brilliant.

I love that Peter Gabriel song from Say Anything...."In your eyes" I love it!
Rock The Casbah - The Clash. Greatest eighties song ever!
Lost In Love by Air Supply.
There's so many, but a couple that stand out would be anything by Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, MJ, Bryan Adams ..'these are artists with next to no 'filler' songs.
"how soon is now" the smiths
"boys don't cry" the cure
"The Glamorous Life" - Sheila E
"Don't Wanna Fall In Love" - Jane Childs

You Win Again by the Bee Gees - Pure Class
