Who here is a musician?

What instrument/brand and style of music do you play?
I sing, play guitar, and bass.
I use Ibanez guitars and basses, and I write and play progressive heavy metal.
Been out of it for a bit, but I'm about to get back into it soon. An old drummer and I are going to record some songs for submission to record labels for one last shot at 'making it.'
If it happens, great. If not, at least we'll have a badass recording.

Guitar player, and I sing. Confirmed vintage Gibson snob, and tube amp snob as well... though I have a fair variety of gear and some of it is solid state.
I'm getting back into it after a long hiatus too, trying to get my playing and singing back up to snuff (and it would help if my work ethic about practicing were better haha) but just glad to be doing it again at all. I'll never give it up again, for any reason.

You will never believe this...I use a Rockman, (Tom Sholtz) with a booster and an extra EQ through a Fender Twin. You want to talk about the most badass metal sound?
^^^
Simply put, the paper thin necks. They are thin, fast, yet sturdy. They are also lightweight guitars. Plus, most of the mid grade to the upper models have 24 frets.
Honestly, it isn't anything more than that. However, thin necks aren't for everyone. I know someone who swears by the heaviness of Les Pauls, SGs, and Telecasters. Not for me. lol
violin, some piano. trying guitar (but not well)
The RG series is their mid grade line. They range from $ 450 to around 8 or 900. The bottom line is the EX series, which are made from cheaper materials, cheap pickups, and rarely have locking nut or floating tremolo systems. I had one years ago, but will never get another EX. I have an 2 RGs now.
I don't have any cons for Ibanez.
RG470MH and and the 7 string RG7420
I play a few Ibanez guitars, a Godin, a Yamaha bass and two ukulele's Big Grin
Ibanez necks are the best. I'm considering buying a 3pc wizard neck off ebay to put on my Godin guitar.
I enjoy playing all style s but the music I play with my band is pretty aggressive.
I'm a musician..... In my mind. Tongue
I play guitar, piano, I can sing like adele sometimes. Tongue
In all realness though I used to play clarinet for a bit. I resepct all musicians. smile
Guitar, drums, bass, vocal, teaching self piano. I'm a metalhead, but I prefer jazz drumming, because it's more interesting, as is jazz guitar, although I don't care to listen to jazz for the most part. I just play it to learn it and apply it to my own stuff. But since metal isn't the only genre I listen to, there are things from all that I listen to I'd like to apply to my music. I'm not anal as in one of those THIS IS WRONG!!!! THIS ISN'T METAL!!!!!! THAT'S NOT REAL MUSIC!!!!!! BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!! people. How easily they forget that there are still people who say metal isn't real music.
You're a virgo and play stringed instruments so well? LOL Astrology is real LOL
I have acoustic and electric guitars, and I have an eletronic drumset, 'cause I live in apartment.
I can't stand more than 30 minutes praticing guitar and I don't know much theory, I mostly play by ear. But I can say I am a frustrated guitarist. I play drums real good, though, since the first time at a friend's house. Never tried to play bass (yet) LOL
So, tell me, how can you be so focused in training scales and that things? I wanna be a good guitarist so badly Sad
