I have not personally. Big research interest of mine though and I'm constantly running into people who have had them in some form or another. I know a teacher who got into a bad motorcycle accident, left his body upon impact and saw it from an "out of body" perspective, flew through a tunnel into the light, experienced overwhelming euphoria and feelings of acceptance/love, and met deceased relatives in the light, but was told it wasn't their time, they had to return/etc.

Most recently my sister-in-law's dad, who is an atheist/materialist, had to undergo heart surgery on two separate occasions. He said he watched the operation from the ceiling both times and it has opened his mind to the possibility of life after death.

IANDs (International Association for Near Death Studies) is the main organization promoting and doing research in this field: http://iands.org/home.html
They keep an ongoing archive of NDE accounts spanning several years. You can view that here:

Audio/Video accounts here:

Another good research org is NDERF created by Dr. Jeffrey Long: http://www.nderf.org/
Their archives of NDE accounts go back to 98'and are more structured according to Long's questionnaire which he has based a lot of his research on:

Fascinating subject, and researching it has definitely been a major source of spiritual transformation in my life.

I have not had one myself but have always thought a lot about the afterlife etc. I sometimes attend a local Spiritualist Church and am sometimes impressed by what is said by mediums: some things are NOT "just stuff that could apply to anybody" and although the mediums are paid for the gig I don't think it is a big money-spinner for them (so I don't think that they are frauds).

The foundational book for NDEs is Dr. Raymond Moody's _Life After Life_. That's what really sparked a lot of interest in the subject. You should pick it up. For my own part, the structure of the NDE itself, and the commonality of even minor details that people experience in these, lends it a lot of credibility, beyond anything we'd expect from a hallucination.

On mediums, I've had experience myself that I've found somewhat convincing, and there's also a lot of scientific research into their accuracy, that does lend it credibility. Stephen Braude (philosopher) and Dean Radin (scientist) are two researchers in particular that do solid work in the field of parapsychology. Radin's book _The Conscious Universe_ changed my perspective on this field completely.
