What does 'the other side' mean?
There is a spirit realm. It exists...trust me.
Considering most of my relatives are chickens, it means there was little to no traffic on the road today. *rimshot*

As for the whole "going to the light"-- that just makes me think of Poltergeist. 😄
I don't know if I believe the dead inhabit that realm, permanently, though.
Which is NOT a shot at anyone's beliefs, so much as it's just something that confuses the heck out of me.

This is not an easy question to answer... You have to understand that most people even if they see deeper into these other worlds, dimensions, and so on may only have an understanding of what they have experience with...
This is much like color, sound, heat, odor, and size perspectives and scales... We can't always see and feel everything going on by our eyes, ears, smell, touch, and so on... A medium depending on the type can pick up on these different energies to some point... Their are may different types of psychics/mediums out their... and this is why many of them have their own way of going about actually tapping into deeper/larger/smaller fields of energy...
This is where you get into the level and development of the medium... as some can do it with actual out of body... by traveling to the location the spirit actually is at... this is extremely advance but if someone is naturally gifted possibly in dreams it would show up first... then to control and direct to places you have never been or so on is even harder... You first have to know your spirit and then know how it interacts with every thing out there... example... People that are in coma... they don't often know how this works and how to get back... Near deaths can often travel and come back and then are more gifted then the norm... Then you just have the naturally more sensitive... and then you have the people that develop skills though time and learning... each of us has areas or skills to some point but developing them is key... Yes their are some that are just so naturally developed that it is easy or easier then the rest.
As far as the other side... well that is talking about have they moved on... as energy is not just going to sit still for you... yes family members may stay and watch out for some one... yes tragic endings confuse some... revenge... and more often are reasons why spirits hang round... To know and realizes there is another side is to also understand there their is another side beyond that... and that if they have truly moved on that spirit maybe to busy to communicated with you any longer... This is why some people believe in reincarnation... or changing forms...
Yes some can still find them and know where they are at in that step... again you are dealing with someone that is advanced and could estimate how someone would feel or even see their past and tell you things about them... as their past has left an imprint in time f

So imagine growing up & feeling different "energies" around you. How do you know that you're not just imagining things? lol

How can we know what spirits are, how they feel, what they know & what happens to them? If you hear the answer to that question by hearing something speaking in your ear, how do you know that you're not just hearing things?!
Get what I'm saying?! A client of mine dealing with schizophrenia always talks about how he sees/hears things. He doesn't even try to make sense of it b/c he has been conditioned that anything you see/hear that science can't explain is just a symptom of a mental disorder...ya know...chemicals in the brain that are off balance that make it possible for someone who is otherwise healthy to see/hear things that are not there.
I'd like to see a study done on mediums to see if they too have these chemical imbalances in the brain just like people dealing with certain mental disorders do. There are lots of people who claim to hear/see things that they know aren't really physically there. I'd be curious to know if there's any kind of link or relation to that.
And no I'm not saying that mediums have mental disorders! I'm just saying that from a scientific perspective, some of the people who hear/see things (regardless of what it is) are only doing so b/c of imbalances in the brain & not b/c they are somehow spiritually gifted. So how do you separate a medium who sees/hears thing vs. someone with a mental disorder who sees/hears things?
How is the person who sees red Zebras in front of them any different or any less/more gifted than the person who sees a family member right before them that has died already?

You don't image things that effect the over all world... the truth of it is their is a difference from being able to see some things, more things, and all things... People that see auras are actually tuning into just people energies or dogs... It changes with changes in attitude... it is like colors effecting your mood kinda... you know it is real because you feel it... can hear it and see it. Most of all it is consistent
Everything has energy in it... like magnets... atoms and have protons and electrons... You have to go beyond the biological level is all...
People that actually see these things can see the energies... there are different types of seeing... People can see things often in different ways depending on placements... I believe light spectrum or heat based...
People change aura colors based on feel... or influences around them... everything has an effect and projects on us as well...
You think your crazy at first but most people would be shocked... wouldn't you... people actually have an interest in what they did if they do it in these types of things and want to know when they are wrong so they can try to correct themselves... I personally chart a bit... people can flash on a photo... or object of someone... they took a snap shot of the over all energy and is like a sent... like a dog can pick up...
That is the funny thing if you know people... as you are telling them what you hear, feel, know or so on they will normally tell you if you are wrong... that is the best way of finding out... It is not fun and you feel like you are jumping off a cliff... I feel that way if and when i read charts at times... and no I am not always right...
As far as the guy claiming whatever he is talking about... do spirit/other tell him things... such as what will happen or talk about people that have passed away... if he is talking and saying things that he is not sure or his emotions are running away or he is picking up on mult people... then yes he would sound crazy... Most people that are sensitive don't know how to deal with it... Many close themselves off to it... few develop it I think...

also medications effect people forcing chakra's and can often make people more or less sensitive... normally lower is the way but is general lower sensitivity to everything... as well as over all energy level.
If you are this way you don't really want to be in the spot light normally about it... that is not what it is about... So people have... some people will never believe... some people will... just as much as people can't prove it... and maybe people don't have any evidence... most of the time if they are real about what they do they don't need proof other then the people that believe in them... that is why they do it... although yes some do it for money...

I believe in God but I also believe in science.
I get that the spirit world is something that any living human will never completely understand 100% . After all, the spirit world is for the non-living, not the living. I get that the spirit world is probably a world that defies all human logic.
It's not that I doubt that people can see/hear/feel spirits. It's that I doubt that the explanation for every time someone sees/feels/hears these things is always connected to them somehow being gifted spiritually.
Your mentality changes when you study neuroscience & learn through science that chemical imbalances in the brain have been a proven factor in why some people see, hear & feel things that aren't there. It just so happens that these chemical imbalances tend to spawn the birth of mental disorders.
So again, I'm not saying that every medium, clairvoyant or psychic has a mental disorder. I'm just saying that I don't have any rational/logical reason to automatically assume that a person must be spiritually gifted when they start to see/hear/feel things that aren't visible to others or to the naked eye.
All I'm saying is that there are other explanations (science) other than it having to do with some spiritual gift, that explain some of these "abilities." You did not need to explain what a theory was to me... I know what one is... I am educated... just dyslexic as hell... that is why I write the way I do... Albert E. was too though... and it was the ability to see out side the box when there was no science behind something... to discover it... or come up with his theory of relativity... which is actually still just that a theory... just a well excepted theory...
I believe unless some one fully commits to seeing beyond and then they never will... unless they are extremely gifted... there is actually no reason in my mind who can and who can not... We are all so distracted by life... Yes some are going be able to tap into these energies easier then others... but in my mind I believe anyone can do it if they wanted to... it is not easy...
I think people just don't understand often if they only did then they would just be like oh... after a bit...

I didn't give you the definition of a "theory." I was making it known to you that your thoughts on whatever is going on in the spirit world is just a theory & an assumption. It will always be just a "theory" until it can be proven as a fact.

Anyone familiar with this? I've had it happen to me 15 years ago. And have had it happen on my leg a year or so ago.

I've done some research & am quite confused.
They say that some spirits make it to the light (other side) b/c they don't necessarily have a huge connection to the life or the people they'd just lived
Supposedly, there are spirits that are confused & don't know whether or not to gravitate towards the light (other side) b/c they don't even realize that they're dead. Usually this is supposed to be normal if someone had a sudden/recent death that was completely unexpected. It's not until they see themselves at their own funeral or being buried that it supposedly finally sinks in that they're no longer alive.
And then there's supposedly those spirits who refuse to go to the other side b/c they're still too attached & too connected to their life & the people that were in it.
Idk, this is all just so confusing! I'm def. open-minded to the possibilities that these things are happening in the spirit world & that there even really IS a spirit world to begin with. It would just help if these mediums/psychics elaborated a little bit more.
