2018 is so far best year of my adult life. How has it measured up for you?

The concept of time is a facade but lets discuss this calendar year.

For me-

This year I worked HARD on my mental health. Changed my diet to 90/10 Vegan. Became comfortable being alone. Worked hard and got a 10k raise at work. Raised my credit score 100 points. Loved myself more than I ever have. Grew a deeper connection with my daughter, had her see me work my way out of a deep depression. Which I think was an invaluable lesson. Finally got my household more established, cozy (after abandoning EVERYthing ive ever owned in 2016 to leave an abusive relationship). Stopped self medicating with drinking. Learned a lot about who I am as a woman. Walked away from a toxic friendship. Stopped settling.

In 2019 I hope to buy a home. Increase my confidence. Visit my family out-of-state more often. Take my daughter on vacation to another country (she did Barcelona this year and it changed her world view positively). Raise my confidence even higher. Bank more money. Pay off last bit of debt. Fall further in love with myself, and in turn with the world. Take my yoga practices to a new level.

What has this year done for you? Was it a building year? Was it a year that tore your structures down to prepare you for rebuilding and growth (that was 2015-2017 for me)? What do you hope to accomplish next?

Wow woman! 👍👏❤️

Keep up an awesome work!

And share some tips if possible.

God knows I need some...😭
Wow congrats.

Talk to me about how you raised your credit score. I’m hesitant to pull the trigger on a house purchase cause I don’t have 20% down and I hate the idea of flushing a few thousand ea year on mortgage tax. My realtor tells me I can avoid this with a high credit score.

Problem is I own my car outright. No debt. And even though I have been putting all purchases on cc, it’s not boosting it as much as I would like.

Give me your secrets
Undecided

It’s been pretty good ya
felt like wiping my ass with a razor wire, I hope that answers the question.

I did manage to secure a couple of things for the long run though.
Best for me too.

I got my third promotion so ofc I got a raise.

Traveled for work which I always love, who doesn't?

I've been spending more time with my son and I feel like we've grown so much closer this year than ever.

My mental health was phenomenal this year too, I dunno I just feel very... At peace with everything that has happened AND is happening with my life. I can't wait to see what 2019 has in store for me. 😊
Fucked all kinds of up! Lol but I've handle it pretty good...better than I would have in the past.

I have a fantastic feeling about 2019 too!!!!
It's been a really great year. Got in excellent shape health wise. Endorphins are the best drug. Make my own schedule, am not wanting for anything, able to take up to 3 months off and travel, completely turned over my wardrobe, live in as beautiful place as you can (if you like mountains), and most importantly will be able to significantly help out my parents and Scorpio and Aries brothers who are living paycheck to paycheck. Like a good Cap, I should be able to keep building on those things so 2019 should be even better smile
Congratulations OP

It was an exceptional year for me as well.

2 singing shows

2 improv shows

1st comedy standup show

1st time walking in a hair/fashion show

Macys hired me to sing in their store

I brought a pool house.

I took a spiritual retreat in chicago and saw Hamilton

I solidified myself as a Professional Christmas tree Designer and designed and decorated a tree that has become famous and made me famous.

That damn tree got me on TV 2x. One was a live broadcast. I wouldn't mind being on TV on a regular basis. Who knew I would be decorating Christmas trees that would sell for thousands of dollars.

The same day i closed on my house, I got a raise an hour later.

I gained respect and self worth for myself and gained the respect of my peers.

Emotionally, I used acting class to release alot of built up pain.

I play things close to the chest, so 2019 goals are a secret

It has been so-so for me.. it’s been good as far as work goes, a lot of positive recognition, I’m kicking ass when it comes to my career and I’ve been offered multiple promotions and other benefits.

Emotionally, not so good. Kind of in emotional limbo. I moved out and left a 10 year relationship with my sons dad in June after discovering that he’s still in contact with his ex. I already had trust issues because I found out he cheated back in 2016 and I was just never able to regain that trust again .

But here I am, several months later still wanting my family back (including him). He is still my best friend and the father of my son, and we get along really well which doesn’t make matters any easier.

As far as mental health mine seems to be getting worse.. increased anxiety and bouts of depression. I need to try going vegan. I think our diet contributes to our mental health more than most people realize, and I’ve been eating like shit lately. 👎🏼👎🏼
You're right. Diet affects the brain

Not just what you eat, what you watch, what you listen to.

It all has an impact

I’ve already been good at filtering those other things out, I don’t watch much tv and I’m really picky about what music I will listen to now. I just need to get my shit together when it comes to the food part. Lol I love comfort food

I stopped watching Bravo and VH1 and the Breakfast Club and things changed.

Man I realized I knew more about celebrities than I did my own self.
