lol, my cat will ride on my back like this if I let her -- it's challenging to stay hunched over and walk. I always walk past a mirror when I do it to see how funny it looks. She manages to look regal every time.

Lol. I just had to lol this is great! No need for posture books!

Lol that's awesome!

One of my friends has cats but I can't cuz I have too many plants, but I would do this! Grew up with them. Great smile and pic!

I grew up with cats too. The cat I have now is the first cat I've had as an adult. Yes, not plant friendly, unfortunately. I don't have any indoor plants, but I'm surrounded by trees and other plants so that's okay.

I'm thinking of getting a dog! Just thinking. Long thoughts cuz It's not a cat. :/

Also looking at the weather to bring my tropicals out (more indoor summer space!)

Yeah your place feels like the real deal! You let your cat outside?

I've never had a dog so I would likely have long thoughts too if I was considering one.

Freeing up some indoor space sounds good, when you can. I have a friend who has a lot of indoor plants and she'll be taking care of a cat for a few months so she'll have to adjust that -- fortunately she can benefit from the spring and summer weather.

My cat grew up on a small farm and enjoys being outdoors part of the day and night. I had a cat door installed so she can easily come and go when she wants. She spends part of the day at the neighbour's place, where she grew up. She sticks to a fairly set territory, it seems, so she's quite safe. Also, there aren't predators here -- no coyotes or cougars, for example.

So is your cat a stray or lone cat (lol), or rescued?

... She sounds like she has the life!

And your friend- she gonna have a fun summer... Good friend to take a pet in! 🙂

I like lone cat (nice tie in to your lone wolf thread). :-)

I became friends with my cat when she lived next door with her previous family. She would visit me almost every week. Then her family moved so that was the end of the visits until one day, 2 months later, she showed up at my place to my great surprise. It turned out that she had been missing for 2 weeks - her previous family was really worried. They cared about her a lot. But, they realized that she was unhappy in her new territory, so it was decided that she could stay with me. I adopted her. :-) It was hard for them, but really good that they looked out for her best interests. I hoped so much that I'd get to keep her so finding out that I could was one of the happiest moments in my life.

She goes next door to visit the neighbours daily -- it's the same place she grew up. The neighbours like animals. They have several cats and one of them sometimes sneaks into my house to steal food, lol, but that's okay, I know that my cat gets a bit to eat next door sometimes, so it feels fair.

Glad you noticed! 🙂)))

Oddly enough I had this happen with a bird. Belonged to a neighbour.

Sweet deal.. Especially with your cat door! And that's amazing I'm glad ya got her.

🙂

I do believe animals are like kids. They just know and are blunt about it, lol.

Cool about the bird!

haha, true, animals can be like kids. My cat has a quality that is like that but also like a good friend and good mother.

haha, yes, it can feel good then not good if a cat only wants to spend a short time visiting. Maybe you can somehow coax her to linger longer.
