I'm going to get one! I've always been drawn to out of ordinary pets.
What kind of exotic pets do you have or have had? Is that spider dangerous more like venomous?

I've only had hamsters, turtles, and a guinea pig. I was going to get a leopard gecko, but I'm going to be really busy and will not have much time to actually play with it, and I'm on a budget so if it needs to go to a vet, things will get expensive.
The Chilean rose tarantula is docile(but there's always some kind of risk with tarantulas) easy to care for. This make them great for 1st time spider owners. They do have venom, but it's not poisonous to humans(due to the amount of venmon it secretes versus the size of a human. There's is a chance that if you are allergic to bee stings, you might be allergic to the spider venom. I've done alot of research smile
Also, the spiders defense is to run, kick hairs at you(that will irritate your skin or eyes),or bite. It will give body signals before it actually bites or kick hairs.
I can't stand guinea pigs cause when I was in kindergarten, one of those pets was a guinea pig. I picked it and got bit, and saw blood and never again did I ever pick one up. Lol and spiders are creepy.... my cats would eat it and the gecko...good luck though..
where are you going to get it at?

Awww, sucks to hear it bit you. Mines would "nibble" on my fingers, though I use to question if the nibble would turn into a bite if I let him go at it long enough.
I'm going to get it while its a spiderling(baby spider). So online will be my best bet. I would feel more comfortable if I raised one as a spiderling, rather than an adult.
Oh how do you raise a baby tarantula? Its not like you say no when it bites you like a dog.. lol
I always wanted a ferret...I always wanted the shit you can't have..Pygmy are just fine if I can find a pygmy horse or pot belly pig.. that would be cool.
