I have a one year and two month old female husky and I am just concerned coz she gets sick all the time. The first time I got her, she had trouble with her stomach (GI infection) for a month, then she had kidney and liver infection. Well, she's okay now but I am just worried because she has been in and out the vet every 2-3 months. Also, I would say that she is kinda small for her age. She is almost the half of our 3 year old male husky. Sascha, my dog is kinda high maintenance compared to the male husky my cousin has.
Is there anything that I can do to improve her condition? I mean, I'd want her healthier and bigger. Would spaying help? She has had her heat 2x, btw.

Well I've noticed that with the pet food industry a lot of brands you buy in the grocery store are terrible for your animals. Both my cats have wheat and corn intolerance. What do you feed your dogs? If you do a little research you will find that these pet food distributors put diseased, unusable bi-products in both dog and cat food.
I will tell you right now one of my cats almost died from Iams. Do not buy your pet food from the grocery store. I would suggest putting your dogs on a different diet. I've been doing my research for years and finally found a good food to feed my cats since cats are obligate carnivores. Dogs not so much but they are just as sensitive.
Start looking at the ingredients on the back of your pet food bag. Notice how the first ingredients are things like bi-products, corn, fillers such as: peas, tomato, potato. These things are not natural in most animals diets. I would suggest throwing out your old food and investing in feeding your animals a staple plus raw.
I would suggest Young Again Pet Food. This is a product that is endorsed and backed by a few reputable companies IE: Cat Fanciers Assoc., etc. They have dog, cat, ferret, koi fish food, raw and supplements. The cost is higher than normal food you buy at the grocery store but your pets will eat less of it due to it being nutrient dense. I bought a bag and both my cats are doing quite well. They are eating less but their fur is soft and manageable, dark leaky spots have cleared from tear ducts, eyes are clear. I combine feeding this freely (probably not for dogs since they have an issue with being gluttons sometimes) along with fresh tuna once daily.
I cannot tell you how important it is to read and become a consumer with a conscience.

Thank you for that. Well, her tummy isn't always the problem. What worries me is that today, she's sick with GI problem the next month would be something else. Also, I am concerned with her size. At 1 year, she's just 11.6 kgs. Her being sick all the time doesn't make her gain weight. Is there anything that I can do to boost her appetite? I've bought several multivitamins already, I also have given her Calcium and pet antioxidant but they don't seem to work.
