Are you spiritually happy?

Are you a satisfied person? Spiritually happy? I know some very sucessful people,man they got it going on, great job,beautiful home,nice car,sharp clothes,beauty,handsomeness,good health,loving families,money to play with. But they're just not happy, a friend of a friend of mines.. had all this and more he tried to kill himself a couple of months ago. I'm not talking about depression we all suffer with that from time to time. I'm talking about just a sadness about life.I pray I believe wholeheartedly in God,Ive taken many leaps of faith. Things ain't going so bad right now, shouldn't I be happier. Is there more to this? Whats missing?

a friend of mine just sent me a book re: this very thing, i can't for the life of me remember the name of it, but will when i get home. I'm hoping it helps me with this very topic

I know plenty of people who have killed themselves and others who have attempted suicide,it is depression.A person who takes thier life feels they don't have anything to live for and even think other people around them are better off with them gone so its not really just being sad type of depression,its the thinking thier at the end of thier ropes depression.

As for me,yeah,but thats not because of god or anything,its because I have faith in other people.To me its one sided to think of suicide and by doing that it would be ignorant to other people and the "highs" life does have to offer beyond the bad.

I'm materialistic also bran I like...things What Dancing Bread said about passion now there it is. I want to be passionate about life and I think I am most of the time.911,the war in Iraq,Katrina,American politics,homeless people,abused children,aids,cost of affordable and comfortable quality of life and living. theres a underlying sadness especially here in the US people seem to be going thru the motions trying to hang on hoping the wolf doesn't come to your door next and blow it down.We're so suspicious of one another and sometimes with good reason. In my part of the world a guy and a chick met on the internet they got together and he killed her. "what the hell" We have a saying called playa hating people hate on you because you have nice things or you're sucessful or they want what you have.No one wishes anyone well anymore,It's like we're all waiting for the other shoe to drop. Ah ha I knew you were going to fail he ain't s--t, It's a general sadness about living. We're Souls Having A Human Experience.I want to stay passionate about life. I love living,it's hard not to be cynical. Stay passionate.

I for one am happy for Brad and Angelina. Jennifer wasn't the person for him maybe Angelina is his soulmate,they've created a life together. smile

i think at times I can be when I'm singing or I see a beautiful object such a person who doesn't realzie their beauty thosse people who are working and show true passion or for instance a pregnat woman. But defintely when I see a work of nature. So yes, but not every moment I don't think we can be even as an piscian.
