.. strange stuff, like for instance ..
Maybe there are no such thing as ghosts. Maybe we all have had the ability to astrally project our energies and that since this energy plane has no time constraints .. our projected energy can doso defying our perception of time.
So, if we see what we believe is a ghost dressed in garb from 200 years ago .. it's really somebody actually alive 200 years ago and projected their energy in our timeframe to appear as a ghost to us.
What kind of odd things do you ponder about?

OMG like all the time P.
I mainly wonder about reality, what is real and what isn't. I think "am I really here?" so I do really stupid/dangerous things just to see what will happen.
I love watching programmes about space and the universe and missions to other planets so I'm forever wondering what's really out there. Sometimes I lie in bed at night and think "are there other beings out there watching us?" stuff like that.

"are there other beings out there watching us?"
I think those things, too.
Maybe we aren't really here .. we're just an image projected onto the earth plane by a being Up There, who actually directs us. Like our each individual soul, for instance, is really not inside of us, rather, on the astral plane of energy and through it's consciousness, is merely projecting its image down here .. like holographic.

There is no such thing as reality. Everything is subjective perception.

Insanity is something I ponder a lot. A couple years ago I did a thread on the Virgo board about this topic.
How can sanity be measured?
The definition of being insane is .. not having the mental capacity to understand another person.
How many times have we seen people come in here and utterly confused, not understanding the person in which they are trying to relate? Words will be said, signals given ... and STILL we do not understand the other person .... isn't that lacking the ability to understand, which is the definition of insanity.

"Using that definition insanity would mean an unhealthy mind."
What if a person did crazy stuff .. like, be the only one to rip thier clothes off and jump in a pool at a party?
Or, drive like a maniac because thier feeling daring, or pissed-off at someong.
Or, start flinging thier arms around in a rage, or beating someone?
Would that constitute and unhealthy mind? Insanity?
Is this person actually drifting back and forth inbetween sanity/insanity? Once back to the percieved condition of sanity, would this person tell him/her self that they were just having an emotional moment (but, were really insane), and the madness makes them think that it's only an emotional reaction?
Does the soundness of mind, tell themselves that this was only an emotional reaction because the rational mind has to have justification for being out-of-control of themselves?
If intense emotions causes people to do things in which they wouldn't ordinarily do, and we all express intense emotions by actually doing things in which we wouldn't normally do ... then aren't we all shifting back and forth between sanity/insanity?
Maybe that's what emotions REALLY are ... logic is sane, emotions are insane. How do we actually know, for sure? Isn't it true that when we cannot understand a person in which we are trying to relate, is actually when we have feelings for them? When these feelings are present .. is when we suddenly cannot comprehend what they are meaning.
Maybe this is because when we feel intensity of feelings .. we are insane.
How can a healthy mind be measured?

I think about this stuff a lot. The thought that there is nothing beyond this life is depressing, though. There's so much suffering here, and to think it's all for naught just seems like a cruel joke. On the other hand, I feel I have seen and heard and read so much about another dimension and people from this world who have made it there. I think there is more to support the idea of an afterlife than not.

Does evil exist?
>
> The university professor challenged his students with this question.
>
> "Did God create everything that exists?"
>
> A student bravely replied, "Yes, he did!"
>
> "God created everything?" the professor asked.
>
> "Yes sir", the student replied.
>
> The professor answered, "If God created everything, then God created evil since evil exists, and according to the principal that our works define who we are then God is evil". The student became quiet before such an answer. The professor was quite pleased with him self and boasted to the students that he had proven once more that the Christian faith was a myth.
>
> Another student raised his hand and said, "Can I ask you a question professor?"
>
> "Of course", replied the professor.
>
> The student stood up and asked, "Professor, does cold exist?"
>
> "What kind of question is this? Of course it exists. Have you never been cold?" The students snickered at the young man's question.>
>
> The young man replied, "In fact sir, cold does not exist. According to the laws of physics, what we consider cold is in reality the absence of heat. Every body or object is susceptible to study when it has or transmits energy, and heat is what makes a body or matter have or transmit energy. Absolute zero (-460 degrees F) is the total absence of heat; all matter becomes inert and incapable of reaction at that temperature. Cold does not exist. We have created this word to describe how we feel if we have no heat."
>
> The student continued, "Professor, does darkness exist?"
>
> The professor responded, "Of course it does."
>
> The student replied, "Once again you are wrong sir, darkness does not exist either. Darkness is in reality the absence of light. Light we can study, but not darkness. In fact we can use Newton's prism to break white light into many colors and study the various wavelengths of each color. You cannot measure darkness. A simple ray of light can break into a world of darkness and illuminate it. How can you know how dark a certain space is? You measure the amount of light present. Isn't this correct? Darkness is a term used by man to describe what happens when there is no light present."
>
> Finally the young man asked the professor, "Sir, does evil exist?"

Now uncertain, the professor responded, "Of course as I have already said. We see it every day. It is in the daily example of man's inhumanity to man. It is in the multitude of crime and violence everywhere in the world. These manifestations are nothing else but evil."
>
> To this the student replied, "Evil does not exist sir, or at least it does not exist unto itself. Evil is simply the absence of God. It is just like darkness and cold, a word that man has created to describe the absence of God. God did not create evil. Evil is not like faith, or love that exist just as does light and heat. Evil is the result of what happens when man does not have God's love present in his heart. It's like the cold that comes when there is no heat or the darkness that comes when there is no light."
>
> The professor sat down.
>
> The young man's name.........
>
>
> Albert Einstein

well P, back to your original post, I don't know....ANYTHING is possible until proven otherwise....I know for a fact that we live in a world, no, an reality of contradiction, and mystery.....unexplainable things happen all the time, and it just so happens you and I are along for the ride....I used to get into wicca and I believe it may have been god, karma, or ME that burned down a kids house in my 8th grade class....But of course the power of the spell is equal to the users initial magical abilities....perhaps he DID deserve it??? But I've always been drawn to the unknown....I need to know....the first to know....
But, anyway....I may never have ran into a ghost, but I FEEL that there IS something out there waiting to make an appearance......despite what I know about the rules and laws of reality, there's still some things that can't be explained with reality as a guiding rule...perhaps there are things, certain 'conitions' needing to be met before we can come into contact with anything 'extraterrestrial'.....
my point is....who knows what's actually out there p....speculation is the begining of any new venture/journey....going into something without being open to the possibilites makes for skepticism....how can you afford to be skeptical if you don' for a fact know what's out there? I'm not a fish, but just being logical....anything is really possible: it just remains to be seen.

My goal in life is to experience life and all it has to offer: to connect with it at the core to 'super sense' every experience to unlock my true potential and get to know me at the pit of my being: that's why I MUST feel P, and with every aspect of my being....to transcend the mere shell I am ....In order to really see the 'true form' that life will manifest....So, I need to change rather violently in order to see it otherwise I'll be locked in the same cycle unable to put the clues together....even at a detriment to my own being...
Life should be investigated in my opinion, but felt as much as it's thought about....what's it all for? Why am I here? What good can one kid do? I BELIEVE I can do much: I can't explain it I just believe that there's something locked inside every human being just waiting to be discovered....that's why I try to empart insparational words to people: besides, who better to do this very thing, than someone who has been down and out, and has found his way out? I know I can be a smart-ass, but on the broader sense, I'm a good kid....just looking to really live up to my own expectations....I'm looking for powerful connections that will really change me from the inside out....I don't like the person I've become....so I have to change....
oh yes that is absolutely freaky!!!
i like ghost stuff & want to knw more about it!!!!

I like that wording.
