I get such vitriol towards historical figures who contributed to genocide for example, but that’s a world of difference.

Just because someone is sick or dying, doesn't automatically make them a better person.
That's why I don't believe in apologies of people who are about to cark it. If they weren't dying.....would they even bother apologizing? Nope.
It's like Alicia said recently about the hypocrisy of DXPers in general: it's not what's being done, but who's doing it. A bitch like P-angel doing it, all of the sudden you're celebrating her as if she's the celebrity of the century. Another person is doing the same thing (only better), you vilify them.

She was a bitch to everyone. LOL. Aries mercury is not very diplomatic in conjunction with Pisces sun. Her and I definitely had a few rows back and forth. I think she expected people to come back at her as hard as she came at them. That was the only way to gain her mutual respect. She never seemed to take the arguments to heart though. We would cuss each other out on Monday and would be bonding together on pisces board topics on Tuesday. Hard to believe, but I kind of miss her aggressive energy lol. Most of the time I disagreed with her, but sometimes she said exactly what needed to be said and I was like thank you. LOL.
I see.. idk as a Taurus i prefer softness and for someone to be more patient or sensitive to the root of my “flaws.” Maybe even love me for the way I am? But I’m being kind of a hypocrite because when someone truly pisses me off I’ll be direct and ruthless, but I think that’s because of my moon in Libra. P-angel could’ve been more healing and loving toward people who she criticized.. I would’ve liked her more that way. For example, Scorpio women are healing and loving when they talk to me about how I’m coming across. They hint at the root of my wound and provide insight, but it’s never in a condescending way, it’s rather more healing. I feel more remorse that way and more motivated to change.click to expand

She never attacked me either, as far as I know. I've only had one isolated hostile interaction with her, and that was when she made some comments about gay men. That was when I first came to this place.

For holding onto her beliefs, whatever those were. I find it hard for most people to have fights with people they cared for on these forums yet she could get along with you in a topic and be completely against you in another..based on the topic. I like that kind of integrity to one's self.
Secondly, because she was autistic and mentioned it once or twice but didn't expect people to treat her with gloves because of it...while a lot of the mental health supporters on these board who pride themselves on how much they get mental illness never had a problem to be straight up douchebags on the topic she announced her cancer in. I felt she showcased a lot of irony and I'm a fan of irony.
On a more subjective note, I loved her dissing us Virgos lmao.

Why would you contradict yourself? The concept of compassion and empathy are somewhat alien to a person with autism. That's not to say that they don't try - I know of some who try their best but still get vilified for their attempts.
Her not being nice and not caring is a possible combo of a few things - not being able to process the emotions of others + a defence mechanism. She has probably faced situations where people turned nasty towards her when she tried to help/behave in a socially acceptable way. So I am not surprised by any of this.

Damn I didn't see that, awkward. I was very high so I that's probably why. I agree with the combo. She might have been a sensitive caring person that turned sour.
She really let my ass have it a couple times. Looking back, she was calling my BS right out. Respect.
Been on and off DXP since 2005, which is when I first started interacting with P-Angel, I think she had joined DXP just a few months before me. She was always controversial from day one. In the early days though not because of her "offensive ways" but more for her sage advice and tolerable directness. She was way more mellow. I think it was around 2007/08 that she started going Turbo with her directness. From what I remember this came hand in hand with some sort of marriage crisis she was going through with her Virgo husband, so she started spending more and more time on DXP. DXP meant a lot to her, she usually put incredibly (serious) effort into every post she made but unfortunately that also came with a price...she did turn more sour. We had a fall-out around 2008 (which I don't even remember what it was about) and since then she just blocked me and never ever interacted with me again. I did keep reading her posts though and actually did my best to learn a few things from her (like seeing straight through bullshit) I wish I could have told her goodbye. Wasn't keeping up with DXP when she actually passed.
You HAVE to give that cheeky old lady some credit for having people stay pissed at her even after death. Good old P. Apparently what she said to them really hit home and therefore they're still hurting, which has more to do with their inability to move on, rather than P-Angel's supposed mean-spirited ways (which she could display at times, but nobody is perfect, right?)
