Love Has No Age

I have been curious of this topic for I don't know how long. Dating with a great age difference. I don't mean three years older than you, but the ones that are way older.

For instance a guy that is 26 years old with a girl of 16. Maybe a woman that is 15 years older than her lover.

Is that true love, do they want to feel younger (or older), or are they just pedophiles or something like that?

Well If they are under 18...they are pedos no matter what. Really any guy at the age of 26 that has to dip into the high schoolers has something wrong with him. Because he is too young to be dipping that far down.

There are though successful relationships of age difference, but it usually ends up in instances where one is providing for another to keep their company. Such as a 40 or 50 year old with a 20 or 30 year old. That is generally a care taking situation. Usually this occurs when the youth is looking for some one more stable and mature than their typical age range and the older one is looking for some one more lively than their age range to have fun again.

However they are very far off in the arc of life to maturely understand each other at times. The youth is often times too immature and impatient because they become spoiled. The more settled man or woman is usually having to act like a parent and is too settled to "deal with this shit" at their age. A 10 year difference probably wouldnt be as big of a deal as a 20 year. If they are both much older, however, such as 50 and 75...it might work better since they are around the same mentality in general.

Can there actually be love in such relationships? Sure. It could only work if the youth was mature enough to respect the person they are with to have their own independence through a career and their own money. Ive seen it happen and it works out.

Love this topic because as of this past summer I began dating someone 6 years my junior. I'm 29 and he's 23. It's not a huge difference by any stretch but when you are the older chick, it is a bit different. We make jokes all the time, but we are pretty much on the same level. However; I did cancel my tanning(I know, terrible anyway!) membership soon after. I can't look way older than him, right? 🙂

6 years is not a big deal, I did 4 years difference and it was about right. As long as people are both happy with each other, thats all that matters.

I agree. But sometimes its weird to think about my 16 year old self driving around while my future boyfriend was at recess playing kickball in the 5th grade.

It does...I think the youngest is 14 in a few states. A lot of states its either 18 or 16. Its 18 in my state and laws are quite severe here for those that are having sex with some one under the age of consent. I appologize if I have offended some of you, its just the way I was raised to see things. Im not however so pigheaded to not understand some one else's point of view. I just still think of 16 as still a child understanding the world. To me, an adult is not about age, but understanding.

I dont know if you can call it love, but there could be some (Like Mary Kay Lotourneu) have potential.

I'm not going to say I'm opposed to it, because everyone has there moments. At 19 I dated a 28 year old. Every girl does it at some point and most guys as well. I am not for extremely young and older person, but 18-19 with anyone older is okay. I'm not one for exploitation, even though your feelings at any shouldnt be exploited, but your considered an adult legally.

I don't think age differences has anything to do with love ... these boundaries that you speak of are conditions of society that have been instilled in people as programs so they will adhere to what is considered acceptable by the society at large.

But, love? Nope, love only knows how to do it, it knows not any boundaries .. not of age, race, gender .... love only wants to feel, it doesn't place conditions.

Well since this is about love with age difference i didn't think i had to actually mention it more times.

A 14 year old can be mature, secure and horny, MIA.

You never know who you are going to fall in love with.

We can all say what we think our opinion is on the subject, but, in reality ...... we are going to be with the one we are in love with, no matter what.

As a 40 year old horny female, I've found only younger guys can keep up with me, so I choose younger guys to date. I have been with a 30 year old for almost a year now and the sex is awesome. So, I will definitely stick with younger men.

i think it was last season.. they had a big celebration for kendras 21st birthday and that was when i first learned her age. Hef seems like an interesting/nice lad, if i must.. but this situation super creeped me out.

i can sit and take a guess at imagining their interactions.. and partially understand the reason why this is "okay" (taking into account who they are, how they feel minus the age) but..

for some reason it still gives me the chills.
