Las Vegas - Sagittarius, a good place to piss away your life savings gambling thinking that you're more lucky than you really are, plus hookers, a libertarian city IOW.

Yeah, I'd say Chicago is more Geminian. It's the windy city after all.

Washington DC is Cancer. America is a Cancer.
Chicago is full of fake ass hipsters in general, I would not say Capricorn.
Then again, Capricorn love titles, and fake status, so perhaps... I can't think of something that better fits it.
I think Rome is obviously Virgo. Playing up it's culture and value, with a hypocritical pious center, while some vary serious debauchery is going on at night...but all the while super busy and bustling with a 24/7 work ethic.

Chicago is all about people styling.
They take West and East style s and play them out.
In Chicago a common term is, 'doing the most.' As if working 'too hard' is a bad thing.
This is why Chicago will never be Capricorn.
I am from Saint Louis, and we don't have this phrase.
In New York, or STL, being afraid of working too hard is a bad thing.
but u stl cats don't know if u from the midwest or down south..
This is true. That's what makes our city unique, it's midwestern and southern, and we've got some great french and spanish architectural influence. It's limited as far as people save for everyone being catholic and a bunch of ppl with french last names.
We also have some neighborhood talk that is why thicker and more unique than Chicago talk.
Of course we shake that when we move to other cities, but, Chicago ppl can always tell when someone is from STL.

new orleans - scorpio
sexy type of city, and dangerous
Berkeley is near the ocean and known as "ten square miles surrounded by reality." Sounds like a Pisces city to me!

lol@ san fran being more cultured than chicago..you GOTTA be joking..not only are we more cultured, but we have better architecture, better resturants, better museums, and just overall better people than san fran..but if you love being around a bunch of gay folks, then i guess san fran is the place for you..hope have fun getting your asshole torn apart
and i assume you're probably an oddball anyway, and was shunned by us chicagoans..i understand
Gay jokes about San Fran... gee, haven't heard one of THOSE before. And then you admit to Chicago being a place that "shuns oddballs"... you do realize all these things are characteristic of small towns and completely contradicts your claim that Chicago is a cultured, cosmopolitan paradise, right?
Chicago has better architecture than San Francisco? ARE YOU SERIOUS?!? San Francisco is one of the most architecturally renowned places in the entire world. Of course, I'm guessing you're one of the many Chicago people who doesn't actually understand architecture and think "good architecture" just means having a bunch of tall buildings.
Since you sound pretty young, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume your POV is due to immaturity than anything else. But know that because of Chicago's cliquish nature, all of the important decisions in this city are made by an exclusive group of old white men and the first two don't apply to you (I'm assuming you're not white because there's not a whole lot of white dudes in the 100's). It's probably best for you to stop sippin' the Daley family kool-aid at a younger age so you can leave Chicago and actually accomplish something in this life.

so being "odd" = "cultured" now?? lol
and trust me, if i didn't know the meaning of architecture, i wouldn't have even mentioned it..but really its all a matter of opinion as to which city is better, but i can safely say that the majority would choose chicago over san fran..
and name 1 major city (thats doing well financially) in the U.S that isn't ran by old white folks..i don't see how that had anything to do with anything..like you said, the city is segregated, and the reason why us blacks cliqued up was because of how these white people in the city acted towards us back in the day..but i don't really care, because i was raised in rogers park where i got a chance to live around every ethnic background you can imagine..and at the end of the day, none of that shit matters, because the onlything i got out of living around different people was eating different food..wow
and why are u telling me to leave the city, but yet, you moved here yourself? just because you're not built for the chi life, doesn't mean im not..im doing quite well
Being open to accepting people of diverse backgrounds, cultures and philosophies is what makes somewhere cosmopolitan.
I only moved to Chicago because I got hired to write for a local weekly and it was the first chance I had to actually use my degree for something other than free-lance work, but the paper folded not even two months after I arrived. I might have been willing to gut it out until I found something else to do, but the Chicago attitude got old REAL quick... everyone has their lil crew who they've probably known since high school (if not sooner) gassin' them up into thinking they're someone too important to give common respect to someone outside their group. There's a reason Kanye called Chicago the city of haters.
To answer your question... Atlanta, Georgia and PG County, Maryland are both more/less run by blacks and doing very well financially.
The reason I said you should move is so that maybe you'll see how backwards Chicago is since I wouldn't expect someone who grew up immersed in it to understand that it's not normal for an entire city... especially one the size of Chicago... to be like that. But then, ignorance is bliss and if being in that environment really makes you happy, then far be it of me to tell you otherwise. Just don't act like something is wrong with those who aren't willing to put up with it because that only marks you as someone whose naive and living in a bubble.
