I know the one is water, the is other air, but it seems to me that they share many common characteristics (mentally oriented, imaginative, creative, flexible etc.). I've never been in a relationship with a Pisces before, so I'd like to know from all of you who have been in a Pisces-Gemini relationship what it was like, pros and cons, etc.

This gemini guy and I kinda had a crush on each other once but we scrapped the idea because we got long distant.
He used to find me really sexy and intellectually rich and I used to love his childlike smile and his desire to know more about something or a person. While we never had the chance to experience a relationship but I found him contradictory from what many websites tend to portray gemini men as this emotionally unavailable men. He flirts, yes. With almost any girl. He might ask you to skype after midnight and go on for hours and compliment you but don't you feel special because he's veryvery very likely doing the same almost all weekends with another girl. However,he would often talk romantic saying how he wished i was there in person so we could hold hands lol. It's these two different personalities of him - 1) I am not made for a relationship/marriage (2) it would have been so lovely had I been in a committed serious relationship with my perfect girl.
I enjoy my talks with him (except when he gets too sarcastic or taunts too much) but in my heart I don't think we'd have been happy in the long term.

As friends, yes.
Everything else depends on other natal places and synastry (composite) aspects.
Sadly Gemini are prone to boredom and it will take the Pisces a lot of commitment into keeping her Gemini man grounded. Geminis are a mutable air sign, so they go wherever their curiosities take them. They are curious about every person they meet, and would prefer to hear different stories by conversating with everyone in the room, over having an intimate conversation with one person. Gemini's flighty nature and indecisiveness will wear Pisces out, because she will often find herself bending over backwards by being really good to you to earn your whole heart. So you, the Gemini man, will have to repress your adventurous nature at times and learn how to settle down with the woman you love. Even if you don't cheat or anything, she will feel unloved or disrespected if you neglect her and prioritize your curiosities.

To make a long story short: Pisces & Gemini = great friends, terrible partners.

Sun in Pisces here.
Once I was in a foolish, platonic love with a gem guy but we did not have a relationship because he was so chaotic that I got scared. (I was chaotic, too)
Plus, he did not know when he hurt me with his foolish words (we were too young) and I did not want to explain myself all the time to him it seemed too tiring, most of the time I remained silent. (I remember I gave him big black points in my mind when he used rude words hahaha...)
Total lack of consequence bothered me a lot. (Once he said he liked me than he started to tell jokes about me to our friends).
I still bless my self-restriction that I didn't get involved with him and turned down his invitation to a date. His following relationships were dramas and tears. He was simply too much to handle for me.

@ awood:
'They pretended to be someone they thought i wanted them to be'
THIS is sooo true. I felt as if I was in the theatre but I knew when he got real. But he did not remain real for as long as we got to know each other correctly. I would have liked him just like that without the show.
Great friends, great buddies, great companions to make the best entertainment show ever lol but as a partner... No. Met many Geminis with different placements and didn't feel with any of them similarity in romance or romantic behaviour. Pisces wants to deeply stare their love interest, vibe on a intuitive level, cuddle and draw cards with hearts. Gemini wants someone who is willing to exchange anecdotes and latest news or will be bored. In a long term, not working out lol

My first husband was a Gemini, and I have several good friends who are Gems.
As friends, we are fine. I guess because friends don't really have the same expectations on each other, and are much more considerate of each other's right as individuals.
Couples though ... most definitely are very inconsiderate of each other as individuals and their irrational expectations of having the other cater to them, and be obligated to them are through the roof.
So, there's no real comparison between couples and friends.
With my husband .... we had great chemistry, and were in mad love with each other. BUT .. and yes, there has to be a "but" otherwise we wouldn't be exes.
The obstacle that we couldn't cross was the difference in our loyalties. In my character, I am extremely devoted to my partner, as most Pisces are. In this devotion, I express it as believing in everything you do. I may not like it, but, I will believe in that you know for yourself what you are doing, and that you are acting in our best interest. I will not question your choices, or your decisions. Being a Pisces I am dual, but, this duality manifests in being able to dislike and trust at the same time. I may not like what you are doing, but, I believe in you so will concede at the same time.
Whereas, him being a Gemini, and being dual .. it doesn't come out that same way. The side that doesn't like what I do, attempts to control me, attempts to change me .. while his other side believes he is free to do what he wants without having to be held accountable. And his inability to practice what he preached was the brick wall that broke us.
If the Fish can learn to not be so doormatty .. and the Twin learn to not be so double-standard to find a middle ground .. then I believe this could be an excellent match.

I've had a a gemini as a friend/ with benefits. We get along pretty well. Never felt a deep connection though, but on the surface everything runs smoothly.

My mommy is a Gemini and we get along great... we can be mistaken as sister because we're so close and confide within one another...
My little sister (Leo) father is a Pisces... her father and my mom was together for a really long time plus after their breakup they became really good friends... Up to this day my mom is married and she's still pretty cool with my sisters dad...
