Hi, I was hoping to get some help in choosing a name for my first child, a son. He will be a Pisces. I was hoping for some suggestions from other Pisces as I can't seem to find a name I really like. (I'm an Aquarius)
We were sort of toying around with Elan or Caspian. But really my mind is completely open. Would love some feedback.

Haha, Pisces are kids at heart.....you won't get many serious answers in here. I love Dylan too btw. It's been in my list. I also like Kyle, Brian, and Scott.

I am not a Pisces, but I am a Scorpio w/ Sun conjunct Neptune. What about Orin?
It is a shortened version of Orinoco, a large river in the Venezuelan Rain Forest,
flowing out of the mountains. Almost 3,000 miles long, large sections of it are
still virtually inaccessible.
Grab an atlas and pick out a body of water that captures your interest,
read about it and be creative.

Like you, I had no idea what to name my son. He's a Gemini.
His name is Bram. like, rhymes with graham. Which I love, so that's my suggestion =) Its a wonderfully simply, yet unique name.. I'm hoping it doesn't get popular in years to come =)

Personally, I don't like it that people name their children oddball names.
children will go through many identity crisis in their youth, and it all stems from feeling on the outside, not having a common ground to feel like they are apart of another. When they can't find a connection anywhere, they often become so disillusioned about life that it affects their whole being quite dramatically.
Children tend to feel safe in things that they can relate to, that they share with another ... and a name is one of those things that kids connect with.
Don't any of you remember feeling comfortable with a person because of their name being yours or similar to it?
Just like with Graham, rhyming with that name made the mother feel so comfortable in the connection that when she spoke of it in here, she accidently made it sound like she was referring to that name being liked, instead of Bram. The point is, psychologically, a person finds subconscious similarities in other people (or things) in which to be drawn.
And looping this back to the struggle kids have with finding theirselves in life, I think children are more comfortable when they can share their name with another. And then at that point, they can find thier individuality, based off of this person they are connected to ...... rather than becoming an utter freak, weirdo due to not having a connection, while feeling like they have to define thierselves.
of course there are many ways in which a child can find connections with others ... but, I remember my childhood, and my son's childhood ... and names are important.
That link that the cap put up was good .... naming a child should be a very deliberate move and not just what gives the mother a good feeling in herself for finding a different one.
hello mothers out there ..... children don't want to feel different, they want to feel included

In other words ... you want to project your Aquarianness onto him.
You would like for him to be the oddball, because that's what you would like ... eventhough, it's suppose to be for him, not you.
I would suggest you read that link the Cap gave .. because clearly you aren't thinking about him.

It's your child, but realize he may be teased in school if you go too outlandish. He may also may be overlooked for jobs due to the "uniqueness" of his name as it may not fit the image of certain entities. The names you cite are some examples which may hinder opportunities! Of course, this will not apply to grocery store clerk, garbage man or street sweeper. But, go ahead and keep thinking of yourself on this matter... *shrugs*

Pangel, to address what you said, and not like it really matters but I love clarity, lol..
I had first typed something like "my sons name is Bram, which i love... Blah blah" and then when I re read it I added in there *which rhymes with Graham* since often people pronounce it differently. Which then kinda messed up what I was saying.
Any who.. I don't like the name Graham, but I agree in a sense that I was not personally interested in anything too unusual for my son. I wanted something rare, but simple and not too bizarre, which I believe I achieved.
Like the op, I did a lot of thinking, and didn't even name him until our 2nd day in the hospital. I wanted to see if he looked like a Bram first, and indeed it fits him well.

My name is unique and I loved that. I wouldn't want to throw a stone and hit 25 people with the same name as mine. Also I didn't feel like I was an outsider because many kids didn't share my name. Choosing a name that is also unique is the way to go in my opinion.
I think if he has a name that has a deeper meaning that would mean a lot to him. I love research so I would be excited if my name had a deeply rooted meaning that I could research and learn about other things with doing so. Also you can go with the nick name route which has a deep meaning. I adore the idea that his name has a meaning that aligns with water or a body of water. You can call him tuney (short for neptune our ruling planet) or something. Pisces are quirky just like you aquas. I do LOVE the name finn. I loved that ever since I read Great expectations...well his full name was finnegan. BTW he was a great artist and pisces LOVE their art. I wanted to name my son that but his father wasn't going for it.
btw my son's name is Dylan. Fits him like a glove. Bad thing is that it's very common. My daughter's name is Cammi. Only seen one other Cammi and that was on tv. She loves it as do I.
Hamlet. Flynn. Ian. Roman.

These were some of the most merciful (male) Saints in Christian history, and since Pisceans try to be merciful with others, these names would be good for your son.
