Pisces are loners, alone in seclusion where we can envision our life ... is where we are at our heights, we are above the world.

We are two fish swimming simultaneously in two directions, Loulore .. not one or the other .. both at the same time. A Fish cannot be upstream or downstream .. they are both up and down together.

We are up, up, up, up when we are within the illusion of fantasized love .... and at the same time, as in the physical world of reality, we co-exist as a downstream Fish in which our life doesn't match the dream.

i understand, but i mean what i was trying to say, is if you take the metaphor literally, it is harder and more unnecessary to travel upstream than downstream. So i feel the meanings of each, up and down, need to be swapped. I'm sure you understood what i was saying though.

I think that life can certainly match the dream though. You should know as well as I do with what I've seen you say about LOA.

Upstream all the way. Though when I'm overwhelmed or exhausted, I get lazy and drift back downstream. Two steps forward, one step back. To me, the world can always be a better place, and I'm determined to do the best that I can to make that happen. My career, my actions, my words--my life is a search for the greater good and the best means to further it. It starts with being the change you want to see in the world. It's an uphill battle that often pits you up against yourself and others. But it ends in a victory that you will look back on, and sincerely know in your heart that you served a purpose greater than yourself.

One of my favorite quotes:

"The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man."
-George Bernard Shaw

I'm not saying going with the flow is a bad thing. It's all about context; sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's bad.

"If you just go with the flow, no matter what weird things happen along the way, you always end up exactly where you belong."
-Tom Upton

"The opposite for courage is not cowardice, it is conformity. Even a dead fish can go with the flow."
-Jim Hightower

I don't believe in fate, so I pick the latter 🙂

I understand what you were saying LouLore ... and you're correct.

To go downstream is the easy, non combative, cooperative stream .. where one can easily flow uninterupted, undistburbed, peacefully ... to be a downstream Pisces should be a positive thing, where the Fish can flow with the current in harmony.

To he an upstream Fish would mean the Pisces is in a constant struggle, conflicted and having to battle the current.

I love the way you think LouLore ... you are always realizing that only the closed mind is certain.

It's very hard to relax in terms of life...upstream/downstream coexist as one for myself...to me it's a fish being optimistic with doubts...doubts because that is being realistic things can change the universe changes things...If there is always optimism I feel their is no room for improvement for learning...you need negatives to grow and overcome...to become wise in ones self...

Maybe I am way off stream but thats my thoughts...I feel to always be positive is to be blinded to what can go wrong to not be prepared for the drop ...So for myself I blend the upstream/downstream in my life...cause that's what makes me stronger...whole...to be prepared...yes I'll have my fish illusion but deep inside I always know the aftermath ...

To make it simple there is always going to be an inner turmoil for fish...no matter how rosey life seems...It's just part of being an emotionally driven sign that has natural ability to read the true aftermath before it has taken place...at least for myself...

I appreciate your input 🙂

I totally agree that you need contrast in your life to learn. My optimism comes in play when things I would perceive as bad happen to me. I try not to let those things devastate me.

I'm not saying change for the good isn't valuable. I'm just taking into consideration the emotion struggles of the fish. Because I am with the flow emotionally, doesn't mean I'm without action. Just clarifying my OP further.

I think you're idealistic attitude is great. I appreciate your input too 🙂

I totally have an Upstream Pisces in my life ....

He calls me his poision because when he is with me he can finally be himself ....

This kind of asserts what LouLore was saying .... poison is a negative, for you to be poison for him would indicate that it (you) makes him veer off course, which he says that while in this state of being, he can finally be himself.

this means that flowing upstream is not his natural state of being ... while being able to go with the flow of downstream is natural for him, and we know this because he says he can finally be himself.
