It's probably because Humans have the ability to adapt their environment to them rather than them having to evolve and adapt to their environment like all these other species. Therefore Human evolution is working at a much slower rate.

Also you can't compare the overall evolution going on by all plants, or all animals, or all marine life to one species. You can compare the evolution of one species to another or one group (like plants) to another (like marine life). With the inability to move plants must evolve and adapt quickly. Also these plants/marine life will most likely be on a simpler level than humans or many animals so any little change equals a pretty big evolutionary jump.

Humans are also affecting the world's environment and forcing evolutionary changes on the life of Earth which may not have happened at such a rate with less human intervention.

And I doubt it's only humans who aren't evolving really crazily each year. Many other established species of animal don't change that quickly either.

Because humans aren't a natural species of this planet .. that's why.

We were engineered.

What? As in genetically engineered from aliens? Last time I checked, there has been an evolution of the human species. Every ecosystem naturally evolves, constantly adapting to it's environment. Humans are one of the fastest adapting species, so far ahead taht we don't even factor in natural selection anymore. With the discovery of genetics, and how we can manipulate RNA and DNA, we have entered into a different realm of existence of our own species. That is actually a phenominal introspection..... because the human body is designed for so many different things.

Of course we are a natural species of this planet.... everything on earth boils down to organisms.

That's actually a good point, but I don't think it's so much that we are adapting at a slower rate. I think it's more that we are controlling our environment and having it adapt to us as a species. I mean, in terms of survival, what is more practical? Adapting to our environment, or creating that environment and everything that's in it? Of course, exponentially speaking, there are going to be grave dangers when the equilibrium factor starts having an affect. Or perhaps that has already occurred, with diseases and viruses that have spawned. Every species has an equilibrium..... with all our fancy technology and medical wonders, it will be surprising what the affect this equilibrium will bring our species.

Every species has a natural population control. Usually it's because of another species that eats another species, creating the circle of life and the hierarchy of the food chain. Nothing is above us a the human species, so nothing is controlling our population in direct relation. That is why we are over populated. WE are over eating our resources, and taht is why there is hunger. I think viruses are the species that is above us.... we can mass populate at rapid rates. Viruses can mass populate (multiply) even faster, and they use our body as a host cell.

I mean, take HIV and AIDS as a prime example. IT takes over the human body, completely using it as a host to continue spreading, it mimicks human DNA tricking the immune system and body into thinking that it's not an initial threat, and it keeps doing this until the body literally collapses from the inside out. But the whole cause and affect of this behavior is to keep spreading.... through death, this virus is able to keep alive.
