My dad told me something one time when I was 5. Whenever I heard something on the news about Bosnia and the crap that went on with Kosovo at the time. He used to say "Guns don't kill people, death kills people". He told it was proven fact that death was very common and people died because of death. He even gave me tips on how to avoid death. But of course he grew up on a farm and he didn't know much about the outside world. Me on the other hand would rather say that guns don't kill people, people kill people. It just depends on what tool they used to do it with or what was their motive. I honestly don't believe guns kill people unless it just happened to go off at the wrong time or someone was playing around with it and they accidentally shot it off. I know some people are willing to put gun laws in place which is justified sense, but I don't think it's right to take them off the street completely. What do you think?

* Gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $ 500 million dollars. The first year results:
Australia-wide, homicides went up 3.2 percent
Australia-wide, assaults went up 8.6 percent
Australia-wide, armed robberies went up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent. Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns.
It will never happen here? I bet the Aussies said that too.
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady DECREASE in armed robbery with firearms, that changed drastically upward in the first year after gun confiscation...since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won't see this data on the US evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it's too late.
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind him of this history lesson.
With Guns...........We Are "Citizens".
Without Them........We Are "Subjects".
During W.W.II the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED.
Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard University 1919-1921 & was Naval Attach? to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor and our Army had been deprived of funding and was ill prepared to defend the country.
It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U. S. and knew that almost all households had guns.
If you value your freedom, Please spread this anti-gun control message to all your friends.

Even Freud wrote that a fear of firearms is for the mentally unstable.
What will one do if the wolves are in his home? Let them devour his family, or put them down?
Cops are merely body clean-up these days, so it's better to have them clean up the dead body of some asshole than yours or your family.

Simple.
Think of huge serial killers. Do you think Ted bendy mostly used a gun to kill people? He was raping and bashing peoples skulls in with sharp objects.
Saying guns kill people is the most idiotic statement ever. Anyone who is totally insane will kill people in anyway or form they can.
It's so much deeper than a "gun " but FEAR. You install that in a society, they start to believe anything.
Like that by taking guns away will somehow solve serious social issues that have nothing to do with an object.

Guns never did kill people, unless they misfired. But even then the gun misfiring is on the users part for not keeping maintenance. But as one person said- "The first step to taking away human rights, is taking away the right to defend ourselves". I'm not sure who said it, but I can assure you they were either British, French, or American in nature.

Meh keep your guns, people are so unimaginative these days Id rather take people out with a well placed blast than a bang??_.
its easier to make your own bombs as well then get your hands on heaps of guns and ammo
Guns are inanimate objects. Do cars kill people?
Justifying gun usage with crime rates doesn't move me.
Weapons have been banned in my country since forever and we simply don't have the same amount of violent crimes and killings that the US does.
No school shootings, mass killings, only one known serial killer(who killed a total of 4 ppl), less rape incidents, homicides and lower crime rates in general.
Guns give people a false sense of security. People kill people. And people are shaped by their upbringing, culture and society. If we want to put an end to it, start there not with more guns.

The internet does not make finding truth easier because the same people who fund the lies fund and have control of the access we have to the information online. You still have to read thru lots of crap to figure out the "truth" .
So please stop pushing that lie.
