School Board President Ditches Michelle's Lunch Program:
She's Been 'Elected By No One'

I just thought this was a nice article.
Because opting for integrity and logic over money is always nice.
So is giving the finger to the encroaching nanny state. Big Grin

As the Milwaukee-Wisconsin Journal Sentinel reports, Rick Petfalski, school board president of the Muskego-Norway School
District, said, ???We believe that proper food nutrition and meal portion guidelines are best decided at a local level.??
Petfalski??s school district??s decision to opt out of the National School Lunch Program means it will no longer receive
federal money for its meals, but also that the district is free to serve whatever it wants.

???By leaving the program we will not be required to follow these onerous guidelines, pushed by and large by Michelle
Obama, who last I checked has been elected by no one,?? Petfalski said.

The school district will now cover the cost of free and reduced lunches on its own, though it was already losing money
when it was part of Obama??s program because fewer kids were purchasing the meals. According to the Journal-Sentinel
report, the school district will spend less on foods that students do not eat and, consequently, increase the
number of children who purchase lunches by providing more satisfying meals.

Petfalski said his school district??s food service was projected to have nearly a $ 54,000 deficit.
By opting out of the national program, he expects about a $ 7,100 surplus due to increased sales of food.

Only after its too late will people finally realize what is happening...

Obviously Montgomery and CP are dominated by Wrong Thought and lack the proper orientation of the New Socialist Man.
This is all for our own good, as the Elites know what is best for us.
Follow the European Model or prepare to be pilloried by our resident Reds . . . or shipped off for "re-education."

LOL
Because it is going so well for them. Big Grin

... the world's smartest lioness strikes again!
I'd take Mrs. Obama's ideas a whole lot more seriously if she sent HER kids to public school to eat those lunches, and if she ate according to those guidelines herself every day for lunch. She and her kids get lunches prepared by professional chefs.
Michelle Antoinette has GOT to go... and she can take her disastrous husband with her.

They sure do.

+100% . I'm kind of surprised you see things this way djbuck but then again I don't know you that well. Personally, I want education decentralized. Education has become far too politicized and I want parents and communities to have more choice in the curriculum and of course school lunches. I really don't dig teaching gay sex in primary school either. I think children need their mothers AND fathers. I know this woman needed her father and cherishes his memory and words of wisdom. Also, I'm against welfare because it drives the father out of the home. How is that kid going to grow up without their father? Father's are necessary, not expendable. And the nanny state is doing a crappy job. Besides, isn't that what the family's for?

My ancestors came here and fought so I wouldn't HAVE to 'follow the european model' - If they want it that way over there, that's their business, and it's also not my problem. That's how I see it.
Of course I could just be hoping they throw me in the same cell as Monty at the FEMA camp. *shrug*
