People shouldn't have a right to not vote and should be punished with a fee if they fail to participate in elections.

Add one option that say's that one is not statisfied with current state of politics and things that they can tick off and political parties would have a much harder time trying to say that everyone is happy while the opposite is the case.

So basically your saying force people to vote so they can continue to measure demographics to keep business running as usual. I think It's better to not give an opponent a chance to adapt to your strategy

If 30% of your population would say that they don't feel represented or don't agree with any of the oplitical parties it becomes very hard to justify a buisness as usual attitude. So, no, I'm saying the exact opposite.

You stated everyone should be required to vote, even if they don't agree with any political standing. The act of participating is still considered inclusion. If they determine people are unsatisfied they will adjust. I'd rather not give them the heads up

So, you are saying it's a bad thing if political parties change and adapt because a significant proportion of their population isn't statisfied?

Does your vote really even count though...like give me concrete proof..that your vote was actually even considered.....I'll wait

Yes, your vote counts. The vote is a mass threshold meter.

You saying it doesn't make it true though...give me proof and not some article or statistics on the subject...

I believe at one point it did...but it hasn't for a while now. Anyone can tell you it does...pull some statistical bs (which is really easy to do) and everyone just believes it....it's quite interesting tbh.

Braindead people . They got such dumb excuses like "it's all the same", "all politicians are alike", "you can't change anything" like they're these edgy rebels lol

I don't know how it works in the US but over here we can vote blank. It still counts as a vote for those who feel unrepresented by any party. I think it could possibly be the strongest vote if you truly want to change the political climate

Absolutely, definitely.

That is if they have any (supposed!) interest in politics and choose not to vote simply because they figure everyone are crooks. So what is their logic - they'll take it up the ass like everyone else, only without a fight? Not voting is not an act of anything.

But reality of it is that those who don't vote don't really know much about politics or where they stand. They may even be insecure about it. So they basically don't vote in part bc they want to feel superior ,like they are above things they know nothing about.. Very basic people. White trash even.

There is only one valid reason not to vote and it is that you have absolutely 0 clue about politics and don't wish to educate yourself. You are braindead and that is fine. But plz don't serve it with a load of bs to feel better about being dumb. "Err they are all crooks, nothing ever changes anyway" "It's just a charade" "Jews own everything anyway".

However, you feel unrepresented? Fine, use the blank vote. It's the biggest act of rebellion you can do, politically speaking.

Why don't they have the right to bitch? People who vote solely have a monopoly on the right to bitch?

Yes -

If you don’t bother voting then you don’t really have a right to bitch because it’s not like you tried to do anything about it

That's not concrete proof though and you clearly have no understanding of why the voting system is this way here. It was never a problem with any other Presidential race until this one....just like everyone loved Trump as an entertainer and business man but now despise him (despite that he has always been the same way...a ladies man, has always been outspoken about the country and said some dumb ass shit) ....and majority of women only voted for Hillary because she has a vagina like them and really didn't give a shit what her platform was all about ....it's all very hypocritical and hilarious to watch.

No one questions anything anymore...it's really sad. They all just follow along with whatever is trending...no thoughts or opinions of their own. Sad existence if you ask me...but do you boo boo!

I don't agree with the current voting system. I don't like the idea that - "everyone has the right to vote by default (starting from a certain age just for being born human)". Don't get me wrong. I'm not against human rights - but to me it seems more logical "to earn the right to vote". To pass a specific exam (starting with a Psychological evaluation - and followed by History, Economics, Leadership and Management, Entrepreneurship, Sociology - to name a few) - and earn a license to vote. Not everyone will pass ofc. Nor would they care to be "voters". And that's just it - you should be able to earn that right (prove yourself "capable") - if you truly have an interest in the present and the future of your country. And same goes for candidates. For start they should have a voting license - where they achieved the maximum score (top of their class), but also - at least a decade of experience and multiple achievements (well deserved ofc). Also, presidential campaigns - should be a thing of the past (even deemed as illegal). Such political propaganda meant to pursued and trick the potential voters - wouldn't work anyway - "if the voters are thoroughly educated (understand what they're voting and who they're voting for)".

Not like now - where the majority of voters are very naive and quite unconscious/ignorant in terms of politics. While the candidates are puppets or clowns. And thus - the outcome is dictated by political campaigns and brainwashing techniques (similar to those used in marketing).

Unless the system changes - i refuse to take part in this masquerade.

You didn't provide any insight to under which circumstances it would be acceptable to call that democracy, as you do. You just sort of say "you have no understanding".... just like with your conspiracy theory about your votes not being counted, you just sort of throw it out there.

You want statistics? Stop being lazy expecting to be served and dig into it. If you're gonna question a whole system you better have some reason aside from wanting to feel edgy. So have you done any research??

No one questions anything anymore...it's really sad. They all just follow along with whatever is trending...no thoughts or opinions of their own. Sad existence if you ask me...but do you boo boo!

Honey, you're following a trend right now u don't even see it. The trend of paranoid conspiracy theories

I like how you ignore everything else I've said and choose this to focus on...I'm confused on how paranoid conspiracy theories is a trending thing? Most gets rejected because if it... clearly you don't know the definition of trending...

And don't ever call me honey...

There's never been a time with people so proud of their stupidity to openly claim the Earth is flat. For starters....

Questioning everything in the stupidest way imaginable has never been more trendy. I suppose everyone needs to feel speshul

What did I ignore? Hillary got more votes. Trump is sitting in the White House. You got democracy all backwards either way you bend it

But yet following others blindly isnt? 🙄

Again...you clearly have no understanding of how or why the voting system here is the way it is but thanks for playing.

I never said it was...did I?! But there is a reason why it was put into place the way it was and it was never an issue with majority until now because who they wanted to win... didn't. I personally think the whole system needs to change...that's a big task and honestly don't know if it's possible.

It has nothing to do with being "edgy" lol. You put that on me...I didn't claim it. Statistics can easily be changed to fit the narrative of whatever is being discussed...you can research till your brain explodes...doesn't make your findings truth but people believe it anyway. 🤷.

No they can't if the person reading it isn't a basic idiot. I mean it seems sensible to read the fine print on how the research was conducted before reading any statistics. That's half the job.

Mistrust of statistics. Another mark of the edgy, millenial conspiracy theorist 🙄

Ah because "researches" have always been conducted in legitimate ways...never any bias or errors ever. You have made me see the light...I will now follow you blindly.

Trust of everything that is fed to them...another mark of the lazy, herd mentality of the millennial 🙄

If you don't vote, you are essentially giving power over to other people to decide for you who is going to be affecting your life. You also lose your privilege to bitch about leaders and politics since you didn't vote. Why should you have any say to complain about them when you didn't vote to make your voice heard?

U cant see how the act of not participating is a strong political movement in itself?

They haven't. That's what I'm saying. Read how the research was conducted.

E g I'm pretty sure you won't find statistics supporting the health benefits of a pack of Lucky Strikes. You will however find plenty of vintage ads saying smoking is good for you. You seem to be confusing the two.

I am a man of few words. Especially when it comes to typing on my phone lol

But to answer your second question, I think voting can be an integral part of a "healthy" society.

Now is the time to act, not vote.

If someone is not a voter then why even speak on it? do and not vote? Voting is an important part of "doing". Actually influencing things politically. Nobody not the candidates nor voters are interested in people who are supposedly not interested in voting...talking about voting. The people with enough sense to vote will and the ones who dont will remain irrelevant to the process. This is one of those things where...I dont know why some people get into the over thinking and getting things so far from where they are thing but voting is simple and a simple concept. All the "going to Mars" so to speak with things is useless. But people arent impressed with nonvoters nor do they too much think about them I dont think. As long as people do their part and vote its a freeing and empowering feeling I have come to find. There are different reasons some people dont vote some more understandable than others but in the end its losing Nobody is interested in nonvoters bs.

Sorry but the way you write doesn't peek my interest. When I'm reading your position all I hear are a bunch of words mashed together without any real thought provoking or life changing ideas. You continue to vote & I won't. We are on opposite sides of the checker board, because you definitely aren't skilled enough to play chess if u believe the shit u write. Good luck voting, I hope ur dreams come true

I think they're lazy moronic individuals who don't understand how lucky they are to be able to participate in a democracy or ignorant conspiracy theorists.

I shouldn't expect anything less from you. Your ideals change with the tide.

excuse me? I am pro-voting. always have been.

777 explain yourself?

I'm just hear to sprinkle a little salt on ur wounds. The only people who are owed any kind of explanation are ur comrades. Everyone else doesn't need to know anything more than what they already know. U asking me this question is representation of your conditioning.
