About 90% of people do not like to go to dinner on the first date, maybe a few dates after..
How many argee dinner is a great idea to start out with?
How many think a dinner date should be waited out and do something else instead?
When do you think a home made meal cooked at home or taken out to a fancy restaurant should be introduced?
State your sign and Mars?

90% ? Where do you get your data from?
And do you work for the CIA? You ask a lot of awfully prying questions.

How come you don't comment like you do on anyone else, so many people who talk about their houses or their life on a daily basis, or asking about compatibility signs. You participate with them and me. But I rarely you see attack on anyone else..?

I think that a dinner date is kind of more intimate and suggests that the evening may continue towards sex. So if either or both parties are uncertain about whether or not they want that I guess they may feel safer with a lunch date.

Any kind of date can be fun & enjoyable depending on the 2 personalities that are in it together.
A romantic-setting restaurant would be a perfect date for 2 mellow people who feel the most comfortable chatting and opening up in such a setting. It's no different than the fact that women sometimes have more fun & experience a better connection when they're out drinking at the bar with their best friends vs. at someone's house.
A mediocre restaurant may not be suitable or memorable to a broke man or to a high-and-mighty woman who expects 5 star dining.
See, it just depends on the settings that most people feel comfortable chatting and opening up in. Plus, it also depends on the intentions of each person. Some people just wanna talk and feel that an open restaurant setting is more safe, non-committal (just yet) and appropriate, especially for 1st dates.
Now if you're just this super witty & outgoing person who just insists on challenging compatibility right from the gate, a putt putt or live band date might be more appropriate. But even then, I don't see why they'd be so above having a good ole dinner together in a restaurant. Besides, isn't that a common place where friends, family members & coworkers bond & have fun too?

Now I may be wrong with the percentage that's my pov. So now would like to know statistics on it and what she did wasn't provided just bashing instead. I love polls and statistics and my facts may be wrong..takes another person to add experience to that so I can learn about it..
Yea I need another topic in miscellaneous forum. Haha ill be on there soon with some more.
Yea I love to eat so you can always catch Taurus at restaurants.. lol

Thanks Air-I do see you participate in some of my posts. Actually alot. Lol I try participating in others too.. just don't ask about relationships cause I am not the one to get sentimental and emotional.. but I have posted a personal experience in the Aries forum cause I am stuck in a rut...just depends on different situations everyone deals with..I am weird.
I prefer dinner..because I love food..lol.. Also, it gives you a great chance to get to know the person. However, if there is a certain hobby you have in common with that person(bowling, movies, video games etc) then you should do that instead for the first date I think

I don't like hiking what if your a psycho, and we don't get along, and the guy just pushes you over. I rather go to dave and buster.
A good meal at a nice place is my first choice.
Oh Mars in Leo.I like the hiking ideal but that would be a few dates.

Oh it sounds like something I would enjoy on a daily basis is to cook, set the decor, set the music, set pace, and make sure there is room for dessert... of course after the inital dates that is. Taurus are passionate about food and their lover...

Curious- I am trying too. Break the comfort zone..it's difficult but I try.
Frost- I like to do all of that..even eat with someone who enjoys eating as much as I do, or cook together, or try new cuisines..even better sharing a meal with your lover.

I'm not into dinner on the first date. Or movies.
Dinner..we're stuck at that table.
Movie..we're awkwardly stuck in the dark.
First dates for me..let's go to a festival, let's go to an amusement park, let's walk around and grab some coffee and icecream. Let's do something so in case we fall on some awkward silence..we can talk about what we're doing.
Low key, easygoing, fun.

I don't get people picking a movie for their first date.
Just staying there in the dark, watching the big screen and not each other and not talking.
It's what's wrong with this modern society..same for people who are in each other's company yet each is too busy to check for messages/social media etc.
It's fucked up.
..no.
Hmm dinner is definitely traditional and kind of the social and cultural thing to do in many places I guess. I would definitely be more excited for a date that was a bit different like outdoorsy taking a hike or something.. But then that's lots of alone time and someone could get killed by the uncomfortable silence if it doesn't go well lol
