How to know if a cancer-sun leo-venus guy likes u?

How do you know if a guy with Cancer sun, Aquarius moon, leo venus and mars is interest?
He is very confusing.. Being an Aries sun , pisces moon, venus and mars , i am so use to direct guys.. I had this gut feeling that he was interested in me especially when he is around me ..There is usually that tension between us even if we say nothing to each other at least that is how i feel .. But he would only make conversation once in a blue moon.. They are usually unnecessary conversation he starts though and i feel he is just asking to get me to talk . For example he may ask me what what i think about the muscle of a guy in a magazine or come over to say hello to whoever is talking to me just to talk to me afterwards etc . The only time we actually spoke for a long time one on one was a day he decided to tell me we use the same mobile phone and we ended up talking for minutes on how to take a picture using the same phone lol.. I thought it was weird and the topic we were talking about made no sense but i was enjoying the fact that we were talking one on one even with the tension between us.. I know i avoided looking at him directly.. Anyway i asked him for his number and we started speaking on whatzup. The problem is he He never ever text me first.. I usually text first Yet when i text him we can talk for a long time sometimes hours if we have things to talk about .. I also notice he comments on my post on Facebook more often unlike before.. Yet he never texts me first ! From our conversation he told me he was single but that he is seeing someone but not dating them. I asked him what he meant and he said its a fling that they wont ever date. That freaked me out because i dont want to be a fling.Plus i felt if he was interested he should just have said he was single and not talk me the extra details. I know his family very well since i am close to his sister.
The fact that he never text first and only comments on my facebook status is very confusing . What is he doing pls? He is confusing me .. I just want to know if he is interested or not .. I do like him but i dont want to make a full of myself
