I've been reading a lot of these posts and have become quite fascinated by everyone's interest and knowledge about astrology! I'm really curious to know if anyone has any opinions about this: I am a Gemini with my rising and Venus in cancer, and moon in Libra.. my partner is a Pisces with his rising in Libra, moon in Gemini, and Venus in Aquarius...

Everything I read tells me we are not compatible! We do have some issues that are EXACTLY like what I have read... For example, I am more of a go-getter, he tends to be more lazy and unmotivated, we get in arguments about it, I get more emotional and want a lot of reassuance (hence the cancor in venus I guess) where he can be very aloof at times and doesn't need as much reassurance as me (I guess that would be his venus in aquarius) but other than that we are great together...I am more concerned that our Venus signs are not compatible... I guess my question is: are we "supposed" to not be compatible due to our conflicting signs in our charts, or can you cross signs from planets (like for example, his moon is compatible with my sun and his sun is compatable with my venus and so on) and would you say we are compatible— I don't know if my question really is making any sence...lol but I am curious how this would relate to us...does anyone else have conflicting venus's with their partner, but get along great?

eh. they look pretty compatible overall. you need to look at the overall synastry chart and aspects in it, as well as individual charts to see what someone's inner dynamic is. like, you could have the best synastry chart ever, but if it's with someone who pursues what's bad for them and who hates the part of himself that you love, there's no way it can ever work.

for example, planets in compatible or incompatible signs are nowhere near as important as having actual aspects.

and if we're just talking signs, i'd take decans into perspective too.

i'm a libra, but i'm not into the people libras are supposed to be into. don't go for geminis or aquas or sagittarians. don't like them much at all, really. at least for dating. i mostly go for taurus, cancer, virgo, and pisces. my venus is scorpio. my mars is capricorn. and my moon is conj ascendant in leo, which means i fall for guys who treat me like a queen.

and virgo in aqua isn't bad. it depends on the person.

Venus in Cancer with Venus in Aquarius - not the best match imo. Cancer is clingy and Aquarius needs space. His Gemini moon will reinforce that need. Try not to smother him. I wouldn't be constantly asking for reassurance either. I'm a Pisces with a Gemini moon and it's the quickest way to make me go off someone. I cannot stand clingyness or neediness in any shape or form.
