I have been working out with a personal trainer for 2 years. In the last 5 months we have done a few things outside the gym together. We communicate daily either through text or phone calls. I am really confused if we are just friends or if he is interested in pursuing more. The last time we went out he was asking me how I felt about him, held my hand at dinner, and made very flirtatious remarks about dating. It seemed to me that he was very interested in me as more than a friend. However, he has not tried to make plans with me since, which was 2 weeks ago, even though he continues to call and text me daily. Yesterday I was trying to make plans with him this weekend and since it was Superbowl Sunday he said he would need to find out if his friends were doing anything, but asked me if I wanted to hang if he doesn't do anything. I told him no offense, but that sounded bad and I don't want to be hung out with as a last resort. So he sent me this text:? Want you to never be mad at me or think that you are a last resort. I really enjoy your company and you are one of my dearest friends here. I am honored you enjoy my company like I do yours.? His text really touched me. We have a lot of chemistry when we are together and I would really like to see our relationship develop more than friendship. But if he was interested wouldn't he be pursing me now? Should I take the fact that he isn't asking me out a sign that he isn't interested?
