The Little Things

What are the little/thoughtful things you do/have done to show that you care or love the one your with, or that they do/have done that you appreciate (or don't appreciate, but they at least tried)? How is/was appreciation (if any) of such given/shown?

I like to make something personal for them. A bracelet or a homemade gift card. I've made music compilations for exes. Help to decorate a flat...do a bit of hand henna; Anything goes, really.

I booked my friend for a spa day once in a swanky London location; that was probably the most extra I've got.

I'd think nothing of booking tickets to a trip somewhere for a friend...all for the experience and/or memories.

in my case, i'm thinking of people i love in general, not specific type of relationship. i like to get practical things that have something to do with what they like, unless they mention wanting something. for example next month, i will be getting a Virgo coworker a sketchbook because i know she likes to draw. another Virgo has been an ass about gettinghim underwear and Godiva chocolates because I got Godiva chocolates for a Pisces coworker since she never told me what she wanted and because i gave some to the person i get along with most, who is a Taurus(he took some of my candy once, and being a Taurus myself means i don't have to think about what offerings to make, i mean gifts to give 😆).

i'm torn between getting my Sagittarius sister a new handheld or expensive art supplies. i have to brainstorm about what to get my Libra father, andit should be a mixture of practical stuff and things he likes because i hardly ever get him anything, but he always likes what i get him. i take my younger Virgo brother with me to conventions, and we're going to see Ender's Game and eat at BUNS because i decided to.

I adore when my man smiles and strokes my cheek at random... makes me smile, he can see the warm & fuzzies along with the glow in my eyes I'm sure 😄 (the best, to be sure!)

He picks up things from the grocery for me out of the blue that he knows I like and he doesn't typically eat/drink... that's sweet.

I surprise him with homemade dinners. I caress his arm. Kiss him randomly... I get some random kisses as well 🙂

I'll come up behind him when he is cooking dinner and wrap my arms around him, or just put my hands on his hips and kiss his arm... occasionally I get a glimpse of a little smile too 🙂

He'll come up behind me and randomly kiss my neck... yeah, that's sweet too 😄

we're all going to watch ENDERS game (so excited, read the book 10 years ago).

I read it fourteen years ago!!!!!My younger brother has no idea what that is. 😆 I'm not completely thrilled about how Ender's actor isn't 6-8 and how they seem to not be calling the aliens buggers, but I'll just do what I did with Avatar: The Last Airbender and disregard the differences as long as they don't completely deviate from the source material.

- I buy my guy treats I know he likes whenever I know he's gonna be over. We dubbed the cupboard I put that stuff in the Chubbard 😄
- I will randomly squeeze his hand or come up behind him and massage his neck.
- Random kisses all over his cheeks and neck.
- I tell him "I love you" Often.
- we hold each other tightly from time to time out of the blue and I nuzzle into his neck. It's divine.

- Has an ever evolving array of silly nicknames for me.
- teases me constantly until I could kill him. Then covers me in kisses.
- will come up behind me in the kitchen and wrap his arms around me and kiss my neck
- Will spend hours upon hours cooking me French cuisine.
- will endure a shitty movie, with my head on his ever numbing shoulder
- Often tells me he loves me
- Sends adorable messages over skype when he's at home.

We both show appreciation by reciprocating the affection shown, touching etc. We are both very touchy feely. I have learned from past experience that a simple thank you is highly underrated.

I'll buy things that they like, for example buy clothes for them while i'm shopping for myself. If I happen to be on my way home i'll pick up dinner etc. Little small practical gestures.
