People,

LuckyStars topic below inspired me to ask you what you noticed is the rarest (doesn't mean non-existent, just rare) sun sign coupling? Regardless whether it is long-term or short.

I rarely see (not in any particular order):

Aries-Capricorn
Virgo-Aries (there are some, but not many)
Capricorn-Capricorn
Cancer-Sagittarius (this one quite common physical attraction, but rare long-term)
Taurus-Scorpio (same as above, v.common short term, not as common long-term)
Capricorn-Cancer (there are some, but not very common)

There are more, but I can't think now.

What did you guys notice?

P.S.
I notice that Pisces really seem to get along with many other signs. Probably because they are quite flexible and not very stubborn. Talkng about the average Pisces person.

Yes, that's exactly what I've noticed (I also dated one Pisces in the past, one of my strongest attractions).

They are extremely well matched emotionally, physically etc., but somewhow they often drift apart, it rarely progresses into marriage or a very long-term relationship.

There are exceptions of course (Johnny Cash and June Carter is one example), but often these two find other partners. Perhaps the relationship is too "dreamy", I don't know, but I notice more Scorpio-Pisces or already mentioned Scorpio-Cancer then Cancer-Pisces.

"I attribute that to my Aries moon but who knows maybe just over rated in books. "
pisces and cancer are not a good match - cancer thrives on stability - pisces hates being tied down.....the aries moon isn't really a problem - my moon is in aries and I get along with cancers better than anyone else - even other taureans

the books are wrong about that - water signs don't go well with other water signs - way too much emotiona and they all handle their emotional upsets in very different [and uncooperatvie -with each other that is] ways - cancer withdraws, scorpio stings, and pisces simply swims away towards calmer waters....as you can see, hardly a situation that encourages love....

Lucky star i do not think scorp-aries is a rare match, the sheer power or magnetism of both these signs attract them to each other instantaneously. Whether it lasts or not is entirely another thing, but the passion involved (and i do not mean physical - as these signs are passionate about everything they do, what they think what they feel, what they read about - everything!) is something that is rarely matched by their future relationships with other signs.

Pisces capricorn ; i have personally seen many 'happy' pisces capricornian couples. But the ones i havent seen or heard of are a sag-cancer coupling, sag-capricorn too.

All in all the books just give you an overall breezing of what each sign personality is all about. These so called favourite pairings of water with water and air with air dont stand true in real life relationships. My guess is that they do stand true to a large extent wherein friendships and other (not love) relatonships are concerned.

Its always easier to get along with people who are similar to you and understand the way you function , but its not always true that these are the people you end up falling in love with. Most times we are attracted to those who are not homogenous copies of oursleves and therein lies the mystery of how stark opposites fall deep in love.

Yes, I see pisces-capricorn, too, I wouldn't include it in "rare" ones.

As for water and water, I see Scorpio-Cancer (both ways regardless of their sex) a lot, actually, one of the most common ties, so I wouldn't say all water and water don't go together. And these ties are very strong, passionate and stable.
However, Pisces-Cancer is one of those that often doesn't seem to stand the test of time.

Libra-Leo I also see quite rarely, perhaps not the rarest, but very rare. In friendship they are great, though.

Sag-Cancer is very rare, little bit more common when the man is Crab, woman Sag, but still not "a match made in heaven".

Give us more observations, this is very interesting!

I'm a cappy and happy with my fishy, we compliment eachother in pretty much every way. When a problem comes up, we're able to talk it out and we are more than willing to do whatever it takes to make the other one happy.

cap & sag, lol, don't even go there. What a disaster that was.

my son is sag. my mother is sag. my mother and I butted heads and the good Lord turned around and humorously gave me a son of same. we are hot and cold. no, dated a sag. for a couple months and although we were friends for a long period of time- their energy level and personalities are different focused than ours.

I know of Lib. man/Leo woman, of course they are divorced now. . .
ya, I'd say:
Cancer / Aqua.
Cancer / Sag.

Aries and Lib's are attracted to each other but better off as friends than married although I know of some, works better if the man is the Lib.

Earth signs and water signs
Fire and Air
work best intermixed on general terms.

Cappies would not fair well with Aquarius
Taurus and Aquarius would be rare based upon numerous levels.
Cancer and Gemini's not the best either.

Basically, the sign directly opposite you on the zodiac wheel is your zodiac opposite and dating would be tough. for me it is Capricorn. there is a deep mutual respect for the opposite but marriage material is rare in general terms.

Although I have dated a few Pisces, one was to wimpy the other to esoteric.

it all depends on who is the male vs. the female as well. Actually my boss is dating a Sag. there are blow ups but they are together.

I have seen and heard of plenty Pisces/Taurus mixes.

Did we interpret the term "general" differently than its Webster definition?? err.

it may depend on a rising and moon to see what the compatibility is. Take into account nature vs. nuture. These are all general pictures of what a person is like.

I have seen Pisces swim towards other Pisces, Gemini and Sag's (my opinion here is that all (3) of these signs are the "mutable" signs. So although from other elements- they share the Mutable quality.

There comes a time when you "Have" to give up a part of yourself, or else youll "Never" move on.
Us Cappys dont trust people easily, its not out of disrespect for the other person, its a way of protecting ourselves.
But dont put up walls, lower your guard a little and let the other person see just a little of whats in your heart.
And you may be pleasantly surprised by the reaction.

Good Luck and Dont Worry.

Aquarius_God...FYI: I'm a Pisces guy and my GF is an Aquarian and we've been together for over five years now. We are also engaged. We've got some strong and very close saturn contacts in our synastry, both the friendly and the not-so-friendly kind. In either case, saturn aspects probably aid in the effort to withstand the test of time. Also, the best way to gauge basic compatibility, especially between the opposite sex, is to study the angles between planets of different gender as this enhances the whole guy/girl thing, for better or worse. Some examples are sun/moon, moon/ascendant, venus/mars, venus/jupiter, mars/moon, venus/uranus, etc. Sun to Sun angles in marriage are actually not as important as many believe and statistics reveal this fact. That's not to say that benign angles between sun-sun, sun-ascendant, venus-venus, mars-mars aren't helpful. They can be but they are not as conducive to the drama of romance as the cross gender angles. If anything, same gender aspects which are harmonious simply can add good sportmanship to any relationship, romantic or otherwise. In romance, for example, the semi-sextile (next door neighbors) relationship between two suns is said to be an angle of neither passion nor antipathy. Yet we find this sun-sun dimension very frequently in married couples. Why? Because very frequently there are many shared planets in adjacent signs which heighten attraction in spite of the so-called "slight" attraction features of suns in semisextile. Actually when the suns are in semi sextile there is a precise meaning to this in terms of karma and math. It means that one partner, usually the one in the later sign, must willingly give up something for the union to work!!! So, in a pisces-aquarius pairing the fish would have to give up something for the basic foundation of the relationship (suns) to work well. And, since giving up a part of one's essential self is generally not seen as "fun" or "easy" the semisextile lacks the flow and ease of the trine or the level-headed approach to taking opportunities found in the sextile. The semi-sextile can be strainful to be sure. And a couple's willingnesss to tolerate this must be balanced by easier and more harmonious features in the union. In the fish-water bearer union the fish will often have to give the aqua the benefit of the doubt. In a sense, these last two signs are opposites. Both have "issues" with closeness and space.

Im a Sagittarian female in a relationship with a Cancerian male. It's funny because never in a million years would I have thought to date a Cancer. I mean, when you read the qualities each sun sign possess you would think that it'd be like mixing water and oil. Well... it's the best relationship I have been in. We just get each other, he gives me the freedom and independance I crave without being jealous and suspicious which in turn, I love to cook for him and even stay home to watch movies. It's true when they say opposites attract, he offers me stability and I, adventure. It just works.

I always relied on the zodiac to match me up with the 'right' sign, I've dated an Aries, Leo, also a fellow archer, which are suppose to be my best matches... surprise they weren't. Now, I realize, it comes down to the person and who they are and not what sign they are. If I still followed the zodiac, I would have missed a wonderful relationship with a Cancerian Male. =)
