whats in this gemini/cancer man's head???

i know a gemini/cancer((june 19th)) male.. weve hung out alot, but he recently got cheated on by his libra of about 8 months. and he was single for a few weeks and was trying to get to know me better.((of coarse we had hung out b4 he met her))and then he Imed me one day ((after taking me to the mall the nght b4)) and told me that his ex called and said she fucked up. well i was disapointed, kinda heart broken but at the same time kinda pissed about the fact that i was there for him when he fell his hardest out of his realtionship then he goes right back to her. he told me that he was goin to her appartment that night. until i tried to talk him out of it. then he said he wasnt goin , that he was just gonna take his little nephew to the movies. then i said i dont belive you and i can tell when your lieing to me. then hes told me " no you cant becuase you belived that she called in the first place!"and acted like it was funny.. i told him it wasnt becuase i was very concerned and i asked him why he did it and he said it was jsut to see what i would say. ((note: were not romantically involved and im not sure if he likes me or anything.))
what do you think might be the truth.. i really wanna know whats goin through his head.
i havent talked to him since even tho it was only a couple days ago. i called once but he didnt pick up.
please help!!

wow.. i didnt know that poeple cared so much lol. i talked to him today and yesterday and he told me that after he got back from taking his nephew out his ex's friend called and they went to a dance club and drank and then went back to her place and um yeah.. i really didnt care all that much b/c she sounded more like a one night stand but im wondering.. could he be lieing about that too??
