Defining Love

Oh boy, I have the next week and a half off and I'm already bored. :p
Anyway, for those of you who believe that you have actually been in love, how do you define the word? Or those of you who haven't, what do you think love should be?
I can't claim that I have truly been in love with someone (family and friends excluded - besides that's a different kind of love); however, I do love this quote:
"I touched the loose peg gently, running my hands over the warm wood of the lute. The varnish was scraped and scuffed in places. It had been treated unkindly in the past, but that didn't make it any less lovely underneath.
So, yes. It had flaws, but what does that matter when it comes to matters of the heart? We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and to love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect."
~from The Wise Man's Fear by Patrick Rothfuss
Probably. But as I said, I'm bored...at least for the next hour.

@wasted I've never been with someone long enough to truly open up quite that much.
@peri smile that's definitely something I can agree with. Mine needs a paint job (the clear coat is peeling) and I'm thinking about getting painted black with two deep blue (satin or flat) racing stripes over the hood and trunk.
