Dirty bed

You are on page out of 2 | Reverse Order
1. Would it be ok with you if the guy you are seeing have a lot of cat litter sand in the sheets/blankets in his bed? (Picture the beach towel after you have used it to clean yourself up after a beach day. That's the density of sand in his bed. This guy keeps his cat's litter box in his room so that's where the sand comes from.)

2. Would you tell him to wash his sheets/blankets? If so, how would you tell him?

(I told him if he doesn't clean his sheets/blankets, I don't want to be in his place.)

3. Would it be overly dramatic if I dump him over this? Confused

(I just don't see it working out if I have to point it out to a guy how dirty his bed is. Obviously, if it bothers him too, he wouldn't let it become that dirty. If it doesn't bother him, then I am sure it's gonna be a forever battle, which I don't think it's worth fighting.)

I have made the first 2 points clear to him, but I am curious if other girls are actually ok with that?

I mean, I can't believe it if no one else has ever told him that it is not acceptable. Or maybe there are girls who don't mind it at all? (If so, I am curious to know why they are ok with it.)
It's pretty nasty.

I don't know if I would break up with him over it though. I guess it depends on how much I liked him.

I suggest you make it very clear that you find it gross without being obnoxious and insulting.

For example, act weird when he asks you to spend the night. When he finally begs you to tell him what the problem is you can hesitantly tell him about your cat litter phobia. Make it seem like the issue is with your quirks not his filth, that way he won't get defensive.

I have cats. Sometimes there's a little litter in the bed that can be swiped out with my hand, and I wash the sheets frequently because of their nasty paws. What you are describing is nasty, though.

Show him the movie, Trainspotting.
I haven't heard of the movie. I will look it up. Thanks!

Yes, a little litter that you can just wipe it off of the bed would be ok, but the whole bed is just way too much =.=

Yeah that is very uncomfortable. Why would he keep the litter box in his bedroom though. That's gross. I would place a litter box somewhere not in frequently used space or near a bathroom.

He seriously need to straighten up a few things.

So no, it's not too much for you to point those things out.

@Hare, I love your poster. While i was typing my comment, your kangaroo is right above my writing space. I feel like he was waiting for me to finish my typing lol
Thanks. He has a roommate so I am not sure if his roommate asks him to... but still, I think I will talk to him about other places to put the litter box.

I would help him clean his sheets and tell him not to let his cats run hell all over his bed.

When that didnt work i would suggest sleeping elsewhere but granted that i like him enough i would make upgrading his cleanliness a long term goal.

How could anyone be so unaware of his immediate environment? Confused
I don't know the age but it could be the way they were brought up, or a lack of hugeine due to sexual abuse at a young age. There are many theories but it's still a fact that it's a problem that needs immediate addressing.

Or he could just be a lazy slob.

Most people live decently and those who don't nor.ally have some trauma to work through. Not always. But is he lazy enough to lack pride when he brought a women to his room knowing damn well he may get laid? No. He was apathetic about something. That's a cry for help imo

I have two teenaged sons. Their rooms are disaster areas and I'm on them to clean them daily. Their only excuse is laziness.

Granted, they are not trying to get girls in bed but still. It may be a maturity issue.
