Does saying " Thanks for everything" means goodbye?

You just had an argument with your partner and it is not a big fight..And you texted him you are sorry and then you said thanks for everything , in it's real meaning. Literally, you just want to say thank you to him for being nice and this and that.

Does it mean i am ending the relationship?
'Thanks for everything' sounds like a goodbye tbh.
"I'm sorry, thanks for everything"

?

I'd be feeling a bit annoyed receiving that text, just a bit.

Depends if you're holding a fidget spinner or not.
It can be goodbye.

Or him trying to end the argument.

Or him trying to stay courteous for whatever y'all were doing earlier.
it's a polite version of thanks for nothing.

yes it means goodbye.

I've actually done this. It does sound like a goodbye but you should follow it up saying you are genuinely thankful and not actually saying goodbye. It can be a really sweet gesture.

If I got the text

"Thanks for everything "

I'd think it was over for sure.. specially after an argument.. like saying bye, but for good..

Like @AerialView said,

It's a passive aggressive way of saying,

THANKS FOR NOTHING!

If you didn't want it to end, I suggest you explain yourself as others said also.
