Has anyone else noticed

that there is something going on here— Everyone is wanting to bitch slap everyone else here, I've read alot of threads the last couple of weeks all over this forum and there's alot of hostility going on! What is in the water you are drinking or are you all sitting guzzling wine and getting cocky?

yes it does make it interesting reading for some of us but sometimes you got to wonder where TF it came from!

Dont do that! You cant help some idiots on here unfortunetly... I've seen you wear the brunt of a few agressive & immature people, but take it how it is, they are immature! Just ignore them and their comments! There are a few good peeps here.

You know this recession has lots of people acting out.
I don't know about you guys locally, but here in Philly now...
...kids are shooting kids (lack of guidance)
...cops are just as much a target as criminals (we've lost about 5 of them and another one just got shot 2 days ago)
...our politicians are corrupt using tax dollars fraudulently (some example they're setting)
...people generally don't give a damn about each other

I was walking down the street and (in/on 3 different places/occasions) said hello to 3 random women who were walking on the same sidewalk as I was. I don't have a quiet voice, so I know they heard me. But they just looked away and acted like I was talking to myself.

One day my daughters and I were waiting for the bus... and less than 50 yards away, someone got shot 7 times in broad day light. I have grown immune to the sound of gunshots it happens so much here. Everyone else started running away from the scene and I just grabbed my daughters and held them close make sure they didn't get bumped to the ground in all the chaos.

I doubt its just here on the forum. Its an infection of society, all across the world. Its just that some of us think we deserve a handout... for whatever reason. I personally don't have time for all the games and antics that some choose to entertain... here on the board, or in real (physical) world.

I was just getting ready to type about the economy 🙂 You are right broken_shell, some really think they deserve the WORLD, while others suffer. Its funny, because the ones who have their "hands out" just need a slap on it. They don't need anything, they just want to maintain their life style and the fact that they can't do it anymore is really getting to them.

Society as we know it is changing and the the first time in a long time, it seems as if nature is really the cause of it. Theres no human influence really -- either people getting on the Ship or get left behind.

YEAH! The scorpio board just did it for me. I was like, "Are they serious?" I remember another user and myself both posted threads asking what the hell was going on. Then (this was quite funny), another user came and stated that "our quests for peace" was a coverup and that we were trying to cause more chaos. I kinda figured that particular person would state that, she seems to like alot of drama where I don't.


I was totally done, I'm not the type even carrying on like that BUT BUT BUT, I will defend myself if I'm attacked. Its funny, but when I've tried defending myself, I look just as bad, it took going back and reading my own stuff to really understanding that.


So now I'm like whatever, I state what is necessary and then I'm done. All the other bullshit is for the crows. I may actually argue with someone I believe to be a moron from time to time but thats only when I'm feeling fiery as all hades combined hahaha. Sometimes the stuff people accuse others of is unreal so it has to be addressed.

I like to chat, not to fight, online fighting is as silly as it gets really. I guess thats why some people find humor in it.

Even on the politics board, people tend to be silly. They will turn a debate into a fight and I'm like, "you gotta be kidding me." But over there, it can be fun haha, because people seem to actually take things personally LOL!

Yes, I agree with sweethearts. I don't remember where you had problems but if you have then I'm sorry. There are people on here that just enjoy giving others a hard time really.

I'm one of the good people I piss others off from time to time but hey, I do the same offline too. Its not my intention, it just seems to happen that way.

One thing I've observed, and it really stands out in my mind as being responsible for at least some of the bitch-slapping behaviour. And that is...this place is really hard on new people.

- Yea, my brother works in Temple's hospital. When Liczbinski was shot, he described in detail how the entire North Philadelphia area was frozen and flooded with PPD. Sadly, people no longer have respect for the law.

- I have always smiled and said hello to people I passed in the streets of Philly. Whether or not they speak, doesn't matter to me. I will continue to be who I am, and I was raised to show common courtesy to my fellow neighbor. People tend to mistake me as being from the South because of it, lol. My boyfriend gets offended when his greetings are not returned. I remind him that someone else's lack of warmth and friendliness has nothing to do with him. It is their own issue that may be attributed to a personal problem, troubled upbringing, etc. There are endless explanations that bear no reflection on us.

I agree. newbie or not in the anonym world of internet people likes forums for they can be as angry as they want. It fits. We had someone recently who wished death for somebody else. she was a newbie who felt to be attacked by an oldtimer. yet is it cute how she reacted? come on...

I think the negative of this site is exaggerated. I think most people are good on this board. Yes there is or have been a few bad weeds here and there but it's very minimal compared to the amount of good ones. Non existent if ignored. The wide majority of users are okay here. The only thing I've noticed though, just like in real life. One negative user can easily affect 20-30 users, which makes it appear more than it truly is.

There could be a full room of wonderful people, and one asshole ... this room of people hardly even notice the beautiful people, and give all credence to the one, the bad one.


Is that wrong of the bad one? Did this person actually do something that is worse than the other people who didn't notice each other as beautiful? They only put their energies into acknowledging the bad one ... and overlooked the good ones, to give any energy into embracing.


I see this all the time in here. The author of a thread will spend pages on end responding to a person to whom pisses them off .... and never even acknowledge others who responded to their threads nicely.

Actually I was myself thinking of the outright attacks on people for even daring to have a different opinion and the NAME CALLING, take a look at gemgals "ugly guys" and everyone is attacking each other. And from what I saw it had nothing to do with the topic either. Not to mention the brutal attack on Bella in the scorp thread. And the pettiness that comes out of these attacks, what's the point— Belittling someone, isn't that done to build yourself up?

And yes Ray I know there are alot of good people with sound advice on here, hence why I keep coming back. Just dont think it is necessary to resort to immaturity & slander!

Bella don't leave! I saw the crap on the Scorp board and it is plain to see that it was totally uncalled for. This is an opinion board and if people want to post things for the public to see they better be prepared for opinions good and bad (and from non Scorps 😉 )

I also dont think it is all that bad but in the last couple of weeks it had been on fire!!!

The problem is when idiots come on and attack people that dont even deserve it for their own stupid satisfaction. I saw Bella singled out and had to re-read what the heck it was all about TWICE in the same week! One of the threads had everyone attacking each other, most of them regulars and it seemed out of character for them....Was wondering what was going on over there in your countries that has everyone on edge and bitey!

Anyway things have settled back down again in the last week

Yes I can clearly see who the trouble makers are and ignore their comments, some people are just blantantly honest though and it looks like an attack but if you've been around a while and read a few threads you can pick them up too.

Mostly though there are really good advisors (if you like) and I get alot from reading others probs that compare with mine or help to overcome what i had previously experienced. So thanx all for that🙂

I don't see this place as hostile. It's more goofy than anything.
There are a few unhappy people who take themselves too seriously. But whatever. That's life.

People just need to learn to laugh at this shit rather than get so offended.
