about your relationship, would you go?
Whether it was Dr. Phil, Jerry Springer, Maury or hell any of them that you know your ass is in trouble or something's majorly wrong if called!?
I can't imagine my husband asking me to go on the Springer show! There's only about 5 things people go on that show for! And none of them are GOOD things! Excuse my french, but F thinking I'm about to go on national tv & get embarrassed!!
Idk, even if my man or someone I knew referred me to like the Dr. Phil show I probably wouldn't go even if there was a chance that my relationship with that person could get better. I think there's other less public ways to get help. I can't imagine broadcasting my entire relationship to the whole world!
But hey, some people do it all the time! I can't imagine!!!

It kills me when they say this:
Guy: "I've been cheating on you with your sister."
Girl: "Wtf! You brought me on national tv to tell me this!"
Me: "Uhhh you agreed to go to the Jerry Springer show! What else did you expect!?!!! The fact that you're being embarrassed on national tv is all YOUR fault!" Smh
I wouldn't go lol I don't have anything to hide so I'm not worried about getting busted on national television but I'd be angry at the fact that my s/o tried to involve outsiders (total strangers) in our relationship. it's like she thinks we're not capable of solving our own problems, like she doesn't have faith in us. I don't see how a lame talk show host (who doesn't really care about you at the end of the day) can solve a problem that you and your s/o can't even solve on your own since most problems can be overcome simply by working together. you don't need no talk show host to tell you what to do lol.
and if my s/o wanted to reveal a ''secret'' to me on televison, I'd be just as pissed but I'll go if she won't tell me the secret unless I go. If it turns out to be a bad secret like ''baby, i've been cheating on you with your best friend'', i'll just get up and leave. i won't even sit there and listen to the crying/begging and the excuses. lol
and speaking of the crying and begging, I feel like those cheaters think that their chances of being forgiven are much greater 'cause their poor s/o is now being watched by millions of people and so they'll somehow be pressured into saying ''alright, i'll forgive you'' in order to not appear cold lol personally though, i don't give a shiit about ''looking good'' infront of millions of people lol
those cheating losers wanna have the audience as their back-up support lol that's kind of the impression i'm getting.

Sitting on stage tearfully telling everyone the man o' the house is an asshole? Nah, I'll tell him he's being one to his face. "Why, hello there Pumpkin, Sweetheart, Light of my Life...that was a real shit thing you just said. Might want to work on the ol' delivery and approach." *patting cheek* Ever so much more gratifying than letting something stew.
And talk shows in general? Screwing around with a relative, friend, neighbor..the hermaphrodite around the way.. there's the door. Wouldn't be any genetic test, wig thrown, or bonfire of glory in the front yard.

I've heard that alot of talk shows give incentives like money & free things to get people to go on their shows. I'd be pretty upset if my man was OK with taking me on a talk show & exposing all our business just for the sake of getting a free ride. That'd only add more insult to injury
Matter of fact, depending on the show, I would not only NOT go if my man asked me to, but I'd probably leave the relationship. Again, if you need to take me to the Jerry Springer show, I'll know up front that you've either cheated on me OR have done the ultimate deal breaker & in that case, if I'd leave you on national tv, there'd be nothing stopping me from leaving you BEFORE the show or AFTER.

I knew someone who went on Springer! This was a while ago, when they still tried to have topics, and the issue was "abusive spouses". And her unrepentant abusive husband actually went on the show to talk about what a d-bag he was! I guess some people really will do anything for a few minutes of fame.
