So for the last 2 days I've been avoiding talking to my cap interest. Well last night, he sends me a text asking if I was ok because he's worried about me. Saying it's not like me not to call or text him. I replied with all is fine. He then called and I didn't answer. He texts again asking if he did something wrong and asked me to call him so we can talk. So I let about an hr pass before I called him and on the 2nd ring he answered. Here's how the convo went:
Him: so what's wrong? Are u and the kids really ok? Do u need anything? What can I do? Me: no we're all fine. Him: well why haven't I heard from u the last 2 days? Me: I've been busy but umm... Phone contact works 2 ways. U didn't text me in those 2 days either. Him: well I don't want to disturb ur sleep or interrupt u at work so I wait for u to text or call me (he works overnight and sleeps most of the day). Me: well if u text me and I'm up I'll respond, if in sleep I'll reply to u later. So that's not an excuse. Him: I apologize beautiful. I'll contact u more but don't ever just leave me hanging like that not knowing if u and the kids are okay. Me: sorry... Didn't think u would worry so much. Him: why wouldn't I? I care about what happens to u and the kids. Y'all are like family to me. Me: family as in what? Step-Cousins? Or am I like a sister to u? Him: come on now... With the things u let me do to ur body, I could never consider u as a sister. Lol! Me: (with not a speck of laughter in my voice) oh really... So what do u consider me? Him: u won't stop until u hear it huh? Me: hear what? Him: do u really want me to say it that bad! Me: yes I need to hear u verbally tell me how u feel! I don't want to look at ur actions and assume how u feel. Hell! The way u are with me, ur that way with everyone! Ur always respectful, always willing to lend a helping hand, always make time for ur family, blah blah blah. Him: key word is family. The ppl I love. The same group of ppl I placed u and ur kids with. Me: so what does that mean? Him (laughing) that means u have a place in my....chest! Me: left side, right side, or middle? Him: I think it's positioned more in the middle. Right next to that thing that helps keep me alive. Me: so in other words, what u are saying is... U love me? Him: yes that's what I'm saying.
