That's what i thought...but I hope not because I'd like to think there might be someone else now that he's passed. But I do believe that the one special one your first love is what everyone else has to measure up to...He's like a mould or imprint in my mind of what I think the perfect guy should be...

this question's being asked loads of times
however, general consensus is NO! Think about it - one true love, ridiculous really... who predestines it? who tells you where the one true love is? what if you never meet the person cos of distance from where you live?
I think we can imagine or invest so much in something so that the reality shifts to what we convince ourselves we have... in reality, can we do better? Signed Up:

but then again, whose reality will it be? because our realities is what we know/feel/live, right?

Only one true love
No - it doesn't make sense statistically. With billions of people on Earth, there's bound to be many you could be in love with. Now, what are the odds that you'll meet someone you feel is The One? Way too many factors for even a Virgo to calculate!

If there is "One True Love" out there for everyone!
Realistically what are the chances of the two of you ever meeting??
In this big world, what if your "One true Love" is in America and youre in Sweden!!!!
There are Billions and Billions of people in this world
I dont like the odds......

Right. Sometimes people think that. Which I think is really depressing. I guess it depends on your mind set.

SAYS THE LIBRA. No offense but I think you need a sense of reality cause that is the dumbest shit I have ever heard. If you think that you really think their is only one cause your compare every person to them and your never gonna be happy because people can't measure up because they are NOT him. That mind set is so dangerous. How can you live like that?

Could this be why a virgo male does not understand "how you know exactly what you want?" Or any male for that matter?
Different kinds of love, the best thing to find is the one who you really "just know" and that feeling, no words can describe, that is so true, it is solid and and knowing and the best part is "what you dont know, is okay, and you dont feel the need too know until you know" LOL!
Its plum giddy!

Everyone has their ONE favourite lover...the one person who has transformed their lives....the one that even if they are aged 101....who can make their eyes light up, make them blush profusely and if they were to see them unexpectedly anywhere - in a heartbeat they'd say...whew OMG!heart a-tremble and a-thudder!!!!!!.....is it fair for any one person to have that power over somebody else ,,,,,probably not......but no doubt about it.....as sure as night follows day....there'll always be that ONE person:-)...DAM her or him...or maybe thank god for that missy/mister:-).......
Am i meandering as usual..........
A x

I meant you create your own reality as in...
if your the love of your life dies, you CHOOSE to love again or not.

Saggy89 you ask a question I answer, and now you're telling me how I should feel!?!?!?
At 19 years of age you have that much experience under your hat Hmmmm yes I should listen to you wise old one...
Honestly if you weren't sooo bitter and twisted about us "librians" the perfect people, I might be inclined to take in some of what you say...

In reality, no one ever measures up. Not saying that that person was perfect but you do look for alot of the best of that person in someone else.
As we get older and I've seen it with my Aunt & it may be possible your father aurora, they really dont want to replace that person but rather wait for their own passing knowing they will be with them again.

"He has just never found someone who matched and complemented him as perfectly as my mom did.
hence, he lost his 'great love'."
Yeah you really don't forget your first love - I don't think you ever really get over it.
You move on, and love again if you choose, but no matter how hard you try you just won't forget that first person. It gets like imprinted on your heart and mind. (corny.)

maybe the question should be if one would forget their first love or not....
as for one true love, i don't agree, because i can fall in love again with another person easily. I have to say that not even my first love was all that great for him to still have a place in my heart, I guess it really depends on if you had a good relationship with your first love, my was just blah..so maybe I don't hold onto him at all for that reason. I still remember each bf I had so its not a matter of first love or not. I don't think people should really compare because no two persons are exactly alike, and to find another person that would match your first love or true love to even 70% is very unlikely. It is just a matter of right timing and location that you met your first love, it could be totally different if some circumstances changed and instead you met someone else.

ok
Each time I dated a guy I thought I was in love. But after breaking up with them I realised, life has to move on and found somebody else I fell in love with all over again. I dont think there is any such thing as One true love. yeah there can be a soft corner for maybe the first love of our life. But Nothing as One true love. Thats what I feel.

Sonya, when he creeps into your mind... occupy it, if it's a song "Change it" I've found when I've been hell bent on some guy that my mind wants to constantly dream and fantisize about them, so I've picked up a novel and started reading. I dont normally read much, but this helps. Keep yourself busy and soon you'll realise you're over him!

The point I was making is that love isn't about places.
Hahaha Scarlet seems like conversation's going somewhere else.. and Sweethearts, thats a good suggestion. Yeah I have done that many a times and I still do, think and fantasise.. lol.. Moving on sure is a hard path !!

I never believed in one true love...but I just met a man a few weeks ago and it's like I've known him so much longer. Instant bond...instant instant. I've really never experienced anything like it and he feels exactly the same way. We are falling in love with each other very fast and it is a very easy, comfortable relationship.
I've been in love before, but not like this. Never like this.

One true love? No.
I believe a person can have many true loves but it depends on luck and chance IMO.

One true love? As romantic as it sounds to say there is only 1, its just not true.
One True Love-Thats true, It happns only once but it doesnt mean that Life has ended over there.
Search for the best one for yourself never ends..but after you lost your first Love you becom bit cautius before going for the second one. you always try to find out that shade of the character in your second love which u felt missing in your first Love.
