I am 20. I went to Planned Parenthood today because I have a "feeling" that I'm pregnant. I don't want to make this a debate on abortion, or whatever else you can think of. (I am against abortion completely.. so.. please just stick to the topic).

I was told that I may be pregnant, mostly on the case of having a "linea" something or another. It's a dark line that appears when you're pregnant (it's between your belly button and pubic area).

I have this line. They feel (@ Planned Parenthood) that the only reason anyone would be able to even see this line is to be pregnant.

Isn't that where the hair between the belly button and pubs are darker?That depands on if your dark colored or not in the hair department so yeah,I have a faint line of hair between the two and not pregers.I think theres a new at home pregnancy test you can buy for early yes or no on this though,also all you'd have to do is ask for a piss test or pubic exam to find out for sure.

The "linea" gets darker during the third trimester. That has eben my experience in my 3 pregnancies.

i was the same as looneybird, third trimester i saw the line, my question is, didn't they do a urine or blood test? what's up with the "line" thing, just do the test, that's how i found out

Take a pregnancy test...I'm surprised they didn't give you one!

still curious why you don't just do a pregnancy test...i'm doubting the planned parenthood story, because if they examined you enough to check the linea line, then why not a simple pregnancy test. go buy one in any drugstore or supermarket, they're all over the place.
and yes, i had three kids and not once did i see that line till almost the very end so a lot of this story is just not ringing true

I am 37 years old and I have had the line for about 10 years and I have never been pregnant! So I don't believe the story. Just take a pregnancy test.

steph, You may not want to hear this, but I do not have that line, however I did have it when I was pregnant, and it was NOT hair. Your skin becomes darker in a straight line from your belly button to the center of your pubic area.

Sorry...you should take a test to know for sure and take care of your self and specially your baby if you are not planning an abortion.

ya i agree i have a line too.. itz da line of hair not visible though.. n im 100000% sure im not pregnant... to take it E Z.... u may not b pregnant
