Recipe for Love

I was having a conversation with my best friend. He is a gay male. He said something so profound. He says the recipe for love is as follows:
Lust Stage Connection
1 - Meet someone you have great sex with.
2 - It becomes a routine of meeting for sex.
Love Stage
3 - You start spending time with them and doing other things than having sex.
4 - You begin to have a care about them and their physical well being.
Compassion Stage
5 - You develop an emotional connection stage filled with compassion for the other and it has nothing to do with the sex.
6 - Best description is it feels very much like your best friend or soul mate type connection.
Do you think it happens this way? I think the order can be changed around.

I don't think there is an order necessarily; they are all key ingredients and while some may be added before others once they're all in the mix you have your recipe

It is not surprising most women see it from an emotional point; after all most women associate sex with love or emotional bonding. Men are a bit more animalistc which leads to lust or the hunting stage. Have u ever noticed the more u keep a guy at bay he will hunt or desire his mistress more so. Desire is an interesting mind trick which leads to more lust.
