So, a customer comes in today and starts on about how children get abused, and talks about all the horrible things people do to them - beat them, rape them, torment them, emotionally abuse them, etc .... and then he talks about god (the one you all talk about, and pray to). He says things to infer that god doesn't approve of these horrible things and any person who would do this kind of thing doesn't have jesus ... and their judgement day is going to be severe if they don't repent their sins.


Me: What about the child?


He tells me not to worry, that a person who does that will be punished really bad.


Me: But, what about the child, the innocent victim?


That is what judgement day is for, god will punish him.


Me: You are talking about a scenerio where two people are involved, and you only reference ONE person, the abuser .. I am talking about the other person, the abusee. What happens to that person?


Don't worry about him, you can't feel sorry for him because you will never know gods plan.


Me: Oh, so this child getting raped was gods plan?


No, I told you, he will be punished.


Me: So, the guy gets to burn in hell for raping the child .. and the child gets ignored by god and we aren't suppose to feel sorry for the child or worry about the child because if god allows it, then that should be good enough for us?

No, no, no .. god doesnt' allow it, the guy did it by his own choice, that's what free will is all about. He made the choice to do it, it's out of gods hands .. for now .. but, come judgement day he will be punished for it.


Me: I see, so god doesn't allow his own plan.

A christian would say to completely overlook that their god will forsake the innocent victim during the time of harm .. and to only allow yourself to be consumed with the realization of the punishment to the guilty.

so, the same customer comes in the store again today .. I guess he wasn't finished yet.


He brings up the same topic ... I ask him why doesn't he go out and save all the little children who are being sexually molested and he says that god will punish, don't worry.

I said again, this time re-wording it .. why (((won't))) you go and save all the little children who are being abused and he says because he won't question god.


Atlas .... his god knows, and obviously doesn't care, for the children are still being abused, and the people who claim to LOVE .... ignore.

I think P-Angle is seeking answer to "this" question:

"If there is a God who does not approve of certain things
and the only thing God will do about them is (if we are to

... and God does nothing to console / help / heal the victims
who suffer the ongoing residual issues, both mental and
physical....

Allow me to address that, P-Angel:

With breeding of caring, "soulful" well-adjusted and honest people
with compassion and caring for other human-kind - to others of that
disposition - humans are slowly evolving into a more ethical / caring
species.

Just like dogs though - some are mild mannered and smart whereas
others are primal fools - and the PRIMAL survival/dominance instincts
will always win out in the offspring - so - bred a "good" human or dog
to a bad one - you get a bad one.

The fact is - physical abuse is a primal instinct to sort-out dominance
needed for survival. Rape is show of dominance ( not always violence )
and is an instinctive act that was required for survival of species and
evidenced by the majority of women who fantasize about or enjoy being
"taken roughly" - and is not only natural to but difficult to overcome
for the less-thinking, low IQ types who are "wham bam, thanks ma'me"
and earn livings with their brawn rather than brain ( eg - ever wonder
why sports figures are so frequently charged with rape? = natural to them )

The fact is: Physical abuse and rape WERE INDEED "GOD'S" PLAN
to ensure the propagation of the species - to ensure we'd live for
hundreds of thousands of years through the breeding of the strongest
who obviously "took what they wanted" with no consideration for others
because - NOBODY at first had ANY consideration for others - save
maybe mother for her own offspring.

Now though, a man can earn a great living with his brain from a wheelchair
at a computer and have food and in-home care delivered to him.
100,000 years ago, such a disability would mean DEATH before age 3.
That was God's plan.

The plan is slowly changing over time.
Until it does, some people like to justify their unwillingness to kill
a person who has hurt them or their kin
with "God will punish them" - because it seems comforting.

But still it does nothing for the victim.

Same here and not just Christians

I've always felt that people only use religion to avoid reponsibility of their actions.

I wasn't referring to adults .... it was about babies getting abused, and this god, to whom is not loving, AT ALL, does nothing except to brainwash people into believing they aren't accountible.
