A little about myself and my powerful conversion experience...

I am a spirit filled christian of 11 years. Delivered of Tarot cards, Astrology, and Ouijah boards.
One night while at home (11years ago ), I was seeking answers from the tarot cards. I had used them for 3 years.
On this night, I wanted to know something of a more personal nature.
I asked them, what my purpose was, and why was I alive?
After 3 attempts, with no answer, I threw them aside, and said; " I'm Done With You,..You're Limited!"
At that moment I heard God's voice. I knew it was his voice.
Just like the scripture says...my sheep know my voice. It tripped me out!
Anyway,...The Lord said " go pick up your bible on the table."
I hadn't touched it in years. The last time I did, I said; " What does this have to do with me?"
It's a book of stories about people who lived a few thousand years ago."
Well, I was about to find out it is much more than that, and so is God!
All I did was open it. My eyes were immediately drawn to a passage that said...
You must destroy these idols or you will perish. There is one God, I AM HE.
Why are you looking to the sun, moon and stars when I put them there?

I hope you can believe why God says seeking signs in the stars is forbidden.
My experience is unique in that the God of the universe spoke to me,
then told me to go to His word and then He gave me a scripture that opened my eyes.

As you can see, Gods word is much more than you have realized, and so is God himself.
The stars in our galaxy actually point the way to Christ's birth and to the final judgment at the end of time.
Satan has twisted it and made people think it's a roadmap for their life, when it isn't.

God spoke to me in two ways that night...
Inside my being 1st. I mean,...I actually heard a voice inside.
The thing is,...I knew it was God,..not me or any other voice.
The same thing happened when I was 19 years old. (Now 41).
I was out with this girl. We had went back to her house one night.

So,..there we were, laying in her bed. Both of us still had our clothes on and were getting ready to go there.
Before we did, I heard very loudly, but gently inside..a voice that said, "Don't touch her."
I listened, and glad I did. a week later we were at a nightclub and she left to go to the restroom.
While she was gone,..two friends of hers came up to me and told me, she had herpes.

God had my back that night, and I didn't even know it.

wow.. that waz some neat POWRFUL experiences... thanx for sharing them with us... i just LOOOOVE hearing people's testimonies coz they always strengthen mine 🙂

u know i alwayz used to think the way u did that watz da scriptures got to do with me?? itz jus a history of people living 1000z of yearz ago... but with time i've learned that u can learn great lessons from them..... great treasures of knowledge even hidden treasures can b found if u do an indepth study of the scriptures.. i love 'em 🙂 and ya the lord does speak to us thru da scriptures or other people too.... 🙂

i totally agree wid ya... we shud trust da lord our GOD more than the starz...and i do trust him...but i also enjoy astrology for fun... and i believe that certain spirits are sent to this earth at a specific time because they have da same personalities.. and our father in heaven sendz each and every persoanlity to this earth to keep a balance....

BTW itz da experince the prophet Elijah had wen he waz fleein' to horeb coz jezebl wanted him dead 🙂

alot of times people think they have to HEAR sumthin in order to believe... but often the lord speakz to us thru our feelingz...we have to 'FEEL' his wordz...

Hey Eliza'

You appear to have some good understanding about the Lord and His word.
I would like to share a concern about your above comment though.
The only spirit that can be trusted is the Holy Spirit. He is the 3rd person of the trinity as you know.
All other spirits are of a demonic nature. These spirits appear to be good, appear to tell the truth,
but they will actually lead you away from the truth. That is their main goal.

These spirits can take on the same personalities,...and can appear to be similar.
They can take on different forms. Example: By using the Ouijah Board or Channeling,
they can take on the form of dead relatives or friends. They of course are not.
They have the capability of duplicating appearance and sound.
Yes, they will look like a past relative and even sound like them, but they are not them.
They are called familiar spirits. they are demonic spirits. Deception is their game. and they cannot be trusted.

? They will always lead you away from Christ and the Holy Spirit, never towards them. This is how to recognize them.

Levitcus 19:31 Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits.

Here is a channel through which Satan works for the accomplishment of his purposes. The fallen angels who do his bidding appear as messengers from the spirit world. While professing to bring the living into communication with the dead, the prince of evil exercises his bewitching influence upon their minds.

He has power to bring before men the appearance of their departed friends. The counterfeit is perfect; the familiar look, the words, the tone, are reproduced with marvelous distinctness. Many are comforted with the assurance that their loved ones are enjoying the bliss of heaven, and without suspicion of danger, they give ear "to seducing spirits, and doctrines of demons."

In the acct in 1 Samuel 28:3-19 Saul, a man of God who banned witchcraft from the land,
turned in desperation to it and consulted a medium.
He disregarded the Lord's instructions concerning a certain tribe called the Amalekites.
Saul was given explicit instructions from the Lord, but chose his own way.
Because of this, the Lord told him he would lose his kingdom and reign to another.

The Lord had also decided to not speak to him any further about it.
Because of this, saul was distressed and decided to seek a medium and consult Samuel.
Samuel had already died, and Saul knew he had further info for him, so he attempted to have a medium contact him.

In my Bibles, the footnotes describe what took place here.

The medium shreiked at the appearance of Samuel. She knew too well that the spirits she usually contacted were satanic.
Somehow Samuel's appearance revealed to her that she was dealing with a power FAR GREATER than she had known.
She did not call up Samuel; God brought Samuel back to give Saul a confirmation of his fate.
A message that God had already told him, before he decided to no longer communicate with him about it.

? The Lord no longer does this, as He speaks to us now by the Holy Spirit. The above acct is old Testement.
God only did this once to prove a point. His power is far superior than any other power!

Concerning the living and the dead...

2nd Corinthians 5:8 To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

This scripture says that when we die, we go home to be with him.

Luke 23:43 Today you will be with me in Paradise. Jesus speaking to the thief on the other cross next to him.

Matthew 22:32 God is not a God of the dead, but the living. (Jesus Speaking).

On a different note:

Weather you look at astrology or any form of witchcraft, you are in danger of being majorly deceived.
You are also in in the dangerzone. By that I mean, If you belong to the Lord and still practice (even for fun),
any form of witchcraft and were to die, you will not go to heaven. Harsh, but true.
The bible says to have nothing to do with it. It doesn't give the slightest hint that doing it for fun is ok.
Revelation 21 makes it very clear...Those who practice witchcraft, their doom is in the lake that burns with fire.

And as I stated In my testimony, the Lord gave me a scripture that said; You must destroy these idols, or you will perish.
The choice is of course yours. Just so you know though, you are playing with fire! - Literally!

In my previous comment when i spoke about the spirits, i waz talkin' about PEOPLE and not demonz.. u have a spirit.. i have a spirit... all humans have a spirit ( not to confuse that with the Holyghost)......

and wat i meant to say waz that i like astrology for fun..( im not into tarrot cardz, fortune tellin'... n all that SCARY stuff)and i believe that certain spirits sent to this earth ( thats me or you or anyone...)at a specific time have similar characteristics... i mean personalities... for example.. people born in february are said to be friendly, honest, intellectual....... etc....

i know u wont agree with me coz the scriptures continuously warn us against trustin in the arm of flesh rather then the God of israel.. and hey i trust him and love him but i still find astrology fun 🙂 ( only wen it cumz to personalities... i dont belive in the part where they talk about ur lucky/unlucky dayz.. etc... coz no one decides that ... u choose to wat u want...

?The thing is, even messing with this stuff opens you up to deception.
All the enemy needs is an open door and then he starts twisting everything around.
The actual spirit operating aside from Deception is Leviathan.
By messing with anything, weather for fun or not opens one up to deception.
So you playing in his territory, and that's why it's dangerous.
For example,..while reading astrology for a possible mate, the enemy can and actually will try to
hook you up with someone who is deeper into this stuff, so he'll get you in deeper.
Remember, the enemy is subtle, and very crafty. His chief aim is to deceive and lure you.
Tht's like fortune cookies for example. Christians believe it's ok to look at them.
The problem is, if they see one that gives them hope, they'll subconciously put their hope in it.
I won't even look at them, just so I won't have that influence in my mind or heart.
I put all my trust, hope, and guidance in the Lord. He has my best interets at heart, so I am safe.

? Oh, ok..I understand what you are trying to say now.
I Believe, we have similar personalities, but I believe it's because God made us that way.
