Judged by God

One thing that I think about a lot: Purgatory

You think that EVERY soul goes into purgatory, waiting for Judgement Day; or, do you think good christians have their golden pass and go directly to Heaven?

If every soul goes to purgatory to be judged for their deeds, then what's the point of being christian if everybody ends up in the same place before God?

Several years ago, I witnessed a full aparition of a man of clothe. By his actions and his talk, I don't think he knew he had passed on.

Yet, he hadn't passed on to anywhere, had he? He's still here, just another form.

So, people living in purgatory must be ghosts. In purgatory, we still live on earth, just another plane. If all souls live in purgatory, then Heaven must be awfully lonely for God . . . there's nobody there with him. We're all still down here.

If everyone goes to purgatory . . .
It is to be believed that Jesus is the only way to the Kingdom in Heaven . . .
If everyone is still on earth in the plane of purgatory . . .
Then . . . Jesus's words of him being "The Way" isn't the truth . . .
Every soul is in purgatory, which means nobody is in Heaven . . .

So, the pranster . . . the multitudes of people who will be tricked . . .

. . . already has been fooled, that's why it will be the clergy, that's how even Priests will be fooled . . they believed in a way that wasn't right.

. . . maybe Satan put Jesus down here to trick us, and we believed him, didn't we?

In the old testament, there's mention of a place under the earth called Sheol-Hades. On one side is "Abrahams bosom" where all the rightous humans go, and on the other side is Hades where all the sinners go. There is a wide chasm seperating the two places and no one can cross from one side to the next, tho some can communicate back and forth, as in the story of Lazerous and the rich man.

Some interesting thoughts tho... the rich man asks Lazerous if he might bring some water over, because he was so thirsty. But how can a spirit feel thirst? Only earthly bodies have a need for water and can feel thirst. What's more, how could they talk? They have no physical bodies, no tongues, no way to speak. How can they see? with no brains, no eyes.... Why would the rich man feel hot and dry? What's more, why would you be afraid to go into hot lava as a spirit? It could not possibly hurt you. It only hurts US because our bodies are mostly water and can burn up... a spirit has nothing to fear of such things, LOL.

In heaven, God has the angels to keep them company, plus God is not restricted from going anywhere God pleases.

An interesting insight into heaven tho, is the new testament mentions that in the past, there was a war in heaven and a third of the angels rebelled against GOd and backed Satan. They were defeated and all cast out to the earth. So the insight is.... if heaven is so perfect.... why did a third of the angels rebel? Heh... heaven must not have been so perfect after all.

Sorry I missed the first part of your post PA.

According to the bible, few humans are in heaven yet, and those are the rare few that were "taken up" as Elija was in the "firey chariot". And no human is in hell yet. They are all asleep. Matter of fact, while there are Angels and GOD in heaven, there is NO ONE in hell at all as of yet. That all comes after the "Great White Throne Judgement" at the end of time.

I believe there is no purgatory whatsoever, but instead there is a place under the earth where the righteous are divided from the wicked. To FC's comment that how come the rich man was thirsty, my guess is that he wasn't literally thirsty like a living person but rather he was thirsty for the goodness of the righteous which he was sorry he had failed to practice while he had every chance on the earth..

Second, God is not alone in heaven coz all those yet not born are with him as mature spirits waiting to come down to earth.

Why do we come to the earth and what's the purpose of coming down here then? It 's like a school and God sends us here to learn and grow from good and bad experiences.

Where do we go if we don't go to purgatory or hell and what is this hell? We go down to that place where Abraham was and I presume it is called the Spirit World coz Christ when dying on the cross said He went down to paradise for three days and He told the thief next to Him " today you will be with me in paradise". So paradise is a place for the righteous dead (that is on the other side of the chasm where the rich guy was). When Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to Mary, He said "touch me not for I haven't yet been to my father". So if paradise is not heaven where did he go with the thief?

Now there are not only angels in heaven but good dead men too, like those who were taken up by God in the chariot of fire. I guess the fire cleansed them from earthly body and is symbolic.

The rebellion in heaven is, I believe, an indication that God has always given us a choice to choose for ourselves since ever. So back then when one third of heaven chose not to be with Him, he let them have it their way " and they were cast down" and Satan leads them.

I sometimes think those are the ones that silently are spreading evil and crime through the thoughts of men, etc. They are kinda jealous of us coz they know we mad a right choice to follow Him and came down to earth.

So my guess is that when we think of something wicked it's one of them trying to make us feel miserable and make bad choices like they had, coz now they have realised that they made a wrong choice but can't go back!

That thought still rolls around in my head ... if you have the answers to the test, and therefore you know you are going to get an "A+" .. then why spend all of your time studying for it?


If you are going to purg, just like everyone else ... then why bother?

Has the thought crossed your mind that it's how you act in purgatory when you are forced to interact with the criminals and sinners .. your actions and behaviours at that time is the one being judged. And here on earth, you are just suppose to get naked and make babies.

Is that what you were intended to do? Just because Eve at of the Tree of Knowledge, this doesn't mean you are suppose to stop eating fruit, and stop laying around on beds.

Maybe here on earth, the only things you are suppose to be doing is having a life, and not worrying about anything else .. that was the intention. In purgatory is where you have to be on your pees and quees, because that is where you are going to wait for judgement.
