This goes out to those who often wonder exactly when Jesus was born. We all celebrate it on December 25th, but, we all know that this was the day alotted because of the New Sun of the Soltice ..... so, I decided to make my own presentation, pulled from passages of the Bible, both Testaments, to make confirmation that Jesus was a Libra.
The Bible is convoluted, so I'll make this as simple to follow as I can.
There is no mention in the Bible, in any passages that identifies the birth of Christ. However, there is substantial evidence of the exact time of his conception .. we simply have to take this information and do the math.
We know when he was concieved, based off of the gestation period of John the Baptist.
First, we have to realize that this is all based on the Jewish Calendar Year ... so calculations have to be made to convert time.
To begin .. we have to look at 1 Chronicles 24:10 - Abijah was the 8th division of the Priesthood, and it tells us that Zechariah, who was the father of John the Baptist, served in this division.
In 1 Chronicles 27:2, we learn that each service of Priesthood has a total of 24 turns, each Priesthood serving 2 turns each.
However, it isn't clearly stated when, exactly, the Abijah's 2 turns of Priesthood served, however, we know that Zechariah was in the Abijah division .. so we have to go to the Old Testament to find this answer, as it was conveyed to Prophets in there by God himself, as to when to expect the coming of the Messiah.
In Malachi 3:1, 4:5-6 .. God tells the Prophets that he would send Elijah before the coming of the Messiah >>>> shoot to the new Testament in Luke 1:17, and we discover that John the Baptist came in ..
.. the Spirit and Power of Elijah.
So, we know that Elijah came at Passover .. so we know that John the Baptist was born at Passover.
Now, that we've identified when John the Baptist was born, we can go back in time to while he was in the womb of Elisabeth, to determine the timeline of when Jesus was concieved.
Luke 1:26-36
In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Mary. And he came to her and said, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was much perplexed by his words and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And now, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his ancestor David. He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end." Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?"
The angel said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be holy; he will be called Son of God. And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son; and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren.
The researching of service time for Zechariah to serve in the Priesthood isn't really relevant to the time of birth of Christ .. only in that it was this service he performed in which led to becoming aware that the missing key of realizing this information was in Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist. And we have to go through this to find exactly when John was concieved, when fetus was at 6 months, and when he was born ... to find when Jesus was born.
In the above passages of Luke 1:26-36 ... it is identified that Mary concieved Jesus when Elisabeth was six months pregnant, which means that the seed of Jesus was planted at Hanukkah.
The human gestation period is 280 days (40 weeks) ... which means that since we know Jesus was concieved during Hanukkah, 40 weeks >>>> is Tishri 15th of the Jewish Calendar, which is the day of the Feast of Tabernacle.
Tishri 15th converts to September 29th ... Jesus was born Sept. 29
***** some of the above was my own research, some was found online, which I went to read passages myself to verify this conclusion.
Christ was born on Tishri 15th ... Jesus was concieved when Elizabeth was 6 months pregnant, and this is stated in the Bible in Luke 1:26-36 .... we know, according to Luke that this time that the Holy Spirit spoke to Mary and told her a seed was planted in her womb, was during Hanukkah >>>> 280 days gestation = Tishri 15th (time calculations in place).
Or, the other way in which we know this to be true, which above I verified this date two different ways to make sure, and they both came out to the same date .... in Malachi 3 & 4, we find out that God told the Prophets that he would send Elijah before the coming of the Messiah .... ok, this we know because it is word in Malachi as to when to expect both Elijah and the Messiah .... further, in Luke 1:17, in the New Testiment, we are told that John the Baptist came into the world in the Spirit and Power of Elijah >>>> which The Spirit of Elijah means Passover ..... Passover ... we know John the Baptist was born at Passover. And we know that Jesus was born 3 months later = Tishri 15th.
Of course, it requires having to convert time between the Gregorian calendar and Hebrew calendar at the time in which according to the Torah, Pesah started at the full moon of Nisan, and we know that Passover starts on Nisan 15th ... and then take into consideration that there are 7-day periods for the four phases of the moon and 7 intercalary months that divide lunar year from solar year in the 19-year cycle of the Jewish calendar ..... and we find the basis for conversion fractions .... it's complicated.
However, it must also be kept in mind that there is a 6 and a half minute variance between the Lunar and Solar counting of time, so, that September date of the 29th could be off by several days.
Which means .... Christ was either a Virgo, or a Libra .... he certainly had the characteristics of the Virgo.
"If you ask me how I know I read a few books"
I would suggest you read the books that matter if you are trying to gain knowledge that matters.
I don't think a zodiac sign and the associated traits would even apply to Jesus Christ. (If you believe in the trinity, of course.) God is not created, he is the creator. If Jesus was just an earthly version of God: he did not have a seperate, created human soul, but rather the spirit of God. Therefore, the zodiac would not apply. And his birthdate has no relevance whatsoever.
But this is certainly interesting. I never knew why they celebrated it on Dec. 25.
