Publishing A Prayer written by someone else, and recited several times by another--
I don't understand it.
What is the significance of publication?
Why is that necessary?

In some cases, a novena (a nine day devotion) requires publication in some manner in order to be effective.

Efficacy? Interesting.
You know I'm trying to picture a saint reading DXP.
Thanks, dj smile
I love that the Novenas are always so positive. (Never Known to Fail)
Well, the idea is to spread the word, if it helped you maybe it can help someone else who needs it. There's nothing mystical or freaky meant to be about it, and I have received PLENTY of help when I didn't publish my novenas! It's not a chain letter or anything. It's up to the person who prays it. But, it is nice to put it out there, for someone else. If it gets to the person who needs it, great. If it goes unread, that's fine too. That's all. yeah, the concept of novenas or publishing prayers, may seem weird and silly and superstitious to most people. That's fine! But it comforts many people. I just offer this by way of explaning. Not meant to get in your face or be defensive.
Have a happy February 3rd! (My dad's birthday!)

There is no saint who is not also a sinner. Winking

Well, maybe one:
"Saint Michael the Archangel,
defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do Thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host -
by the Divine Power of God -
cast into hell, satan and all the evil spirits,
who roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls."
