Back in a Relationship

Is it harder to start a relationship with an ex boyfriend?
We broke up a year ago and it was because I was not sure of him, you know whether he was the one or not. He never really left the picture completely??and I never even mentioned him on here before because I'm so back a forth with him I didn't want to confuse people.
I think I'm still so unsure with him I don't want to be the way we used to be I want to move forward. I have so many plans for my future and I don't think we share the same goals.
Last night we had a very helpful talk. We decided to be better with each other and find out what we don't like about each other and what we do like. He is a Taurus and he does love me so he says, that's why he never left the picture. I did date and care for another person after him and I found out that I want so much more for me than what he was offering at the time.
For me in the past he was simpler in the way that he is satisfied with the current living and routine. I want to discuss different things and I feel like we run out of things to say to each other. I even told him to read a different book and that I want to travel more.
He seemed eager to do these things. I really do hope it works out. He can be an incredibly loving person.

Haha That's funny. The one taurus I was with still can't let go of me and it's been 5 years!
