misunderstood

i am so sick of damn near every sign claiming that they are misunderstood. every one wants to jump on the misunderstood bandwagon. scorps, aquas, sag, caps, pisces, leos..i could go on and on.

can we please stop the madness! you are not misunderstood. i am not misunderstood. they way people intrepret you is who you really are; for god or for worse. if you dont like the way people intepret you, change your approach! its that simple. dont expect the rest of the world to buy into your ideal image when that not who you really are.

if people tell you that your a douche. guess what, your a douche.

if people tell you that your kind. guess what, your kind.

if people tell you that you need to lay off the sauce or the cheeseburger. guess what your a drunk and a Fatty Mc Fat Fat.

if people think that you are an inconsiderate person and you happen to be a scorpio. guess what, your doing something to make people think you are inconsiderate.

if people think that your preachy, talk to much, and that you get on your soapbox too often and you happen to be a sag. guess what, shut the hell up and get off the soapbox from time to time.

if people think that your whiny and always play the martar and you just so happen to be a pisces. guess what fish, you are freakin whiny and you are "woe as me."

But if you're giving off a certain impression, there's a reason people feel that way...it's not like you're not doing anything to give this impression.

i agree with you to not let other people define who you are. thats up to you, other people dont have any control over your thoughts. but what you cant fully control is how others interpret you.

I definitely agree with much of what you said. I think there are some exceptions when people who are closed-minded tend to judge others just based on stereotypes or an idea of what they think that person might be like without actually interacting with them. But the opinions of those people shouldn't matter anyway. I agree that a lot of people are oblivious to how they portray themselves to others. It seems a lot of people are in denial and instead of working to better themselves, they would rather put the blame on others. In the end, actions speak louder than words... And when someone spends too much time complaining about being misunderstood and not enough time actually attempting to clear up this "misunderstanding", I usually end up deciding life is too short to deal with such silliness and my short attention span shifts focus to something much more exciting. lol

I think certain people and signs can be misunderstood. I think people jump to conclusions about a person too soon, and assume things about that person when those assumptions are nothing more than assumptions. I've been turned off by people plenty of times, only to later find through time that that person is/was the most trustworthy and kind person, and I was wrong. I've been wrong about a few people.

I think people need to give others time to understand them before coming to conclusions about him/her. I personally think everything is revealed through time.

One thing I will say though, if a person is reading you or misinterpreting what you are trying to say then you SHOULD be able to correct it. If you can't explain your point or what you meant, then I really believe you were meant to be misinterpreted and misunderstood. That's just my opinion though.

Misunderstood = we not compatible, is all.
