What drives Sags over the edge?

Okay one more time.
A male Sag I worked with and liked has been fired from his job.
He showed up at work and had a fight with his girlfriend (and mother of his newborn.)
Pulled her hair to the point he snatched it out. I hope that was extensions. :/
I heard that early in their relationship she would hide behind doors to spy on him and ask around for what he was doing and who he was doing it with. Then recently she said he was spying on her and had some jealousy and abuse issues.
Security had to remove him.
He seemed like such a laid back, cool guy. We would banter and argue over gun rights.
HE NEVER GOT ANGRY WITH ME!
He was intrigued when I told him about his chart.
I worked with him on several occasions and he was great to be around even if he didn't like guns.
The last time I saw and worked with him we greeted each other with an embrace. I am SHOCKED!
To me, he completely lost it; or he had this side all along.
What would cause a Sag to get to the point of no return?

Sags are laid back but we're still fire signs. Aquarius' are the typically the only ones who make me blow (air fans fire).

I have a Sag cousin who was in such a rage over her Sag brother she threatened to beat him with a catch up bottle. And I'm talking the old large jug bottles made out of glass. I never knew what the problem was but my male Sag cousin maintained a smirk on his face like he was enjoying the show.

Ok, here is the new scoop on my ex-coworker.
Turns out his girlfriend had been to a birthday party and gave some male stripper a freaky lap dance.
Her "friend" took a picture of this and sent it to his phone. He then goes to the job, smacks her and pulls her hair, etc. He is now relieved of duty. The dude was on light duty at the time because of an injury. Work dramas SMH.
