Why is Gemini our opposite sign?

Can anyone please explain this? How are we alike, and how are we different?

Both Sag and Gem need independence and freedom. The difference is in the contents of that independence and freedom. While Sagittarius needs physical independence, Gemini needs mental freedom, but the need is the same at base.

You see both Sag and Gem love to experience many things at once. The difference is that Sag is getting that experience in the physical world where as Gem is getting it mentally.

You're better off focused on a certain energy believe me - the Sags I know with Water in their charts are confused as fuck. It messes with the happy-go-lucky nature of Sag.. consider yourself lucky!

Do you get blocked by yourslef sometimes? Or do your Gem part complete your Sag part in harmoney?

@Dwelling I feel that way too often!!!! It's very hard for me to focus. I'll be passionately working towards something then get lost in all the details, throw it away and start over again with something new... if that makes sense? I feel as though im never satisfied but that could be another issues

Gems are smart like sags..but sags are wise too, there's a difference.

...and that is the difference. Wisdom. While both signs can act like irresponsible children, when it comes to seeing the big picture, we think long term whereas their decisions are more short sighted. Most I've talked to contradict themselves in the same sentence. It's a good friendship but dating is a different story.
