Those of you who have a credit/debit card with the chip on it, what do you guys think of it?

Agree I don't know which way to swipe the damn thing.

One casher says swipe it this way, the other say swipe it a different way.
They made a video explaining why the USA is so behind.

They said its because USA has over 5,000 different banks.:/
I don't get what the big deal is. The first store that installed it here went live with it at 5pm. It's a large grocery/variety store, and was busy. So the machines were erroring during checkout, but they wouldn't accept a swipe.

All of a sudden there were "beep"s all over the place and people standing there, with blank stares, looking for an attendant to do something. Some people gave up and left with their groceries without paying. Close to mayhem; I was not jealous of the poor employees.

I really don't see any advantage to using them but whatever. Every machine is different and it's hard to keep track of what you have to do with every one.
Chip readers are a good thing.
