The problem is with actual transport inside the field of effect.

The tabletop experiments are the equivalent, IMHO, of dumping vinegar into baking soda and calling it a volcano.

There's some interesting things with respect to particles at the quantum level "communicating" over a distance, but each time I read about it, I can't help thinking about that movie "The Fly".

I think, at least for the near term, we're going to have to be content finding ways to find faster taxis around the solar system instead of vacationing on a beach orbiting Vega unfortunately.
