Aren't Scorpios Supposed to be Evil.. or somethin

I'm getting into astrology now... I don't know very much currently.. But what I have heard is that Scorpios are supposed to be very unpleasant, possessive and emotional people.. Is this true? My mother likes this stuff and she seems to cringe when she realizes "s/he's a Scorpio" What are the redeeming qualities of this sign?

They're not evil, pretty cool people... atleast many of the ones I've met. They're passionate which is different, passionate responses, passionate anger 😛 As long as ppl treat them and others how they'd like to be treated they'll be fine lol

scorps are scary if you lack substance as an individual. if you can handle our intensity and drive, then we'll love you for it, because 99% of people can't.

Ask your mum what exactly is wrong with being evil...cos from where I am sitting, I don't see a problem..Deal with it..Everyones evil in their own way but yeah we can be pretty sadistic...Its exciting..

We work either end of the extreme...we either love or hate something..no in-between..It took me years to get used to this. My friends used to say hate is a strong emotion..but thats all I felt..I thought I was weird in some way...then I realised I am and its ok..lol..

I agree with scorpio_wreck...it takes a person of great depth to truly handle a scorpio, and th ey will treat that kind of person much different than anybody else because they respect depth. They also require a person who is sensitive to their feelings not to set t hem off....

I started looking into which of my friends were what and who in my family is this; and what I read was pretty accurate in describing the scorpios I've come across.


I've only had two real incounters.

One's my cousin, who's more like a brother to me. He's amazing,
One was a friend I had, but not really.. She was insane.

In my opinion the only reason why astrologers have a hard time depicting scorpio's accurately is because we are a tough shell to crack. Only someone of character can get close, the rest can go to hell for all we care. Although my opinion of the protection thing is a bit different. I had to learn the hard way that people really want to fall on their own, despite what I might know and can help them with. So, because of that, I personally stay back till I can see that they need me, then I jump in. And that's with anything, I can be the fiercest fighter, to the softest nurterer, the only thing that stays steady is my care of those that are close. Scorpio's are honest, and upfront about who we are, and what we're about. If those are bad traits than so be it. Only those close to our hearts have the strength behind their opinions.

^this +1 , we keep a tight circle and most of us a great judges of character. If your are close to us, I will fight a honey badger for you and go Ape shit to anyone trying to hurt those I care about. That can come off Evil to those that don't have that Passion in their life!
